  1. WTF?

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

Still not sure about that. I noticed that many of the players in the Eastern Suburbs private school side my son played on Saturday were in the same club side he played on Sunday. The same goes for another large private Eastern Suburbs school. Anyway, we can agree to disagree.

Tahs v Lions, round 14, SUNDAY 18 May

Yep, will be there with the usual crew. Will try and convince some significant others to attend too with their kids in tow. We need 20+K at the game, hopefully get a few more.
  3. WTF?

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

Not a minority on the North Shore/Northern Beaches/Eastern Suburbs where most of the teams are from. My son's team play many of the same kids at school level and at club level. His U11 club team has more than half that play school rugby too, it has been the same for the last three years.

    Tahs v Bye

I know this thread is really just a p@sstake, but in reality it will do a couple of players good to get over some niggles. Not sure how Potgeiter's right calf is going, hopefully it is OK for the Lions match. I think we will need everyone on the park on the 18th as nothing short of a bonus...
  5. WTF?

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

Not sure if you are aware QH, but private school rugby (on a Saturday) starts at U9's so not sure this would work. The only reason my son can play club & school is that club rugby is on Friday night/Sunday.

    Waratahs 2014

You know what, it is the only time I will even venture a look at the mungo's. Mind you, I have often been know to turn up to work forgetting it was on the night before so it is not like I am a major fan. I bleed blue, but not that type of blue...

    Waratahs 2014

Yep, that's what you get when you are sitting in a meeting trying to look interested while looking up the internet.... My bad!

    Waratahs 2014

Another Bl#@dy clash! I have just seen that the only NSW SOO is on Sunday June 18th Hello! Waratahs V Lions anyone at Allianz anyone.....? I have just been given tickets to the SOO, I know where I will be though. Don't think I could make the dash to ANZ after watching the Tahs march to the...

    Waratahs 2014

There are a bunch of us that bought 8 game Platinum memberships this year and have been to all games. Everyone of us is away at Easter. I really want to be there to support them, but it is just unfortunate timing. I can't see more than 15K owing to the date. Looking forward to the next match...
  10. WTF?

    Force v Tahs, round 9 2014

For mine, it's 'tah's by 12. Reds are not on song this year, and Force took advantage of that. Tah's will be too strong up front and in the scrums. Line outs may be a lottery, but our back line is like having 7 Kyle Godwins with pace. Ok, maybe a bit one eyed.....

    Rugby Quotes of the Week

Ha! I heard it to and waiting to see if Nick was going to pick up on it. Lackadaisical was the word I thought he was trying to say.
  12. WTF?

    Waratahs 2014

Interesting to see memberships up to 16,564 already. Maybe their hope of 20,000 is not such a lofty goal.... If they beat the Brums and Rebels I think they will do it quite easily. I can't quite remember how many they got last year (14K???), but I would think they have exceeded 2013 already...
  13. WTF?

    Reds 2014

Slightly harsh I think. Why can't you direct your venom to the team that were comprehensively outplayed? I don't think you would want a rematch next week as it would be more of the same or worse. I know you were talking up the Reds pre-match and that is what all good supporters should do. Please...

Waratahs vs Force - Super Rugby R2 Sunday 23 February 2014

My Dad's birthday too Braveheart, but he is in WA (me in Sydney) and a Force Supporter so I hope that he doesn't get a birthday present he shouldn't! That is a strong attacking backline and I am looking forward to seeing the piggies upfront. Potgeiter will be very keen to show some stick in...
  15. WTF?

    Waratahs 2014

You put together the same sort of package from the 2013 CAS Henry Plume Shield games. His finishing was superb and a certain game against Waverley comes to mind where he finished off a match winning try at/after the bell after some masterful stepping and sheer pace from around the halfway line...
  16. WTF?

    Waratahs 2014

It was disappointing how his season ended last year but I hope he has picked himself up and focussed on getting higher honours. He was a pretty amazing footballer to watch at schoolboy level; his acceleration and ability to break the tackle was incredible. Good luck to him, I would love to see...

Trial: Waratahs V Blues Friday 7th of Feb Alliance Stadium 7:30

Good idea to bunch the crowd up on one side. I thought Foley, Beale, Lance and Skelton started off well but what impressed me was how some of them finished. Douglas was outstanding. I think there was one point in the last 10 minutes he made three tackles in a row and monstered a couple of Blues...
