So a big uplift in free to air numbers.. And no can't do that. Don't actually want that. Let's put it behind a double pay wall (I say double as you can't just get Stan Sport.

Given they demolished Shore with seemingly half the team missing, I don't think anyone would be discounting them

Had this 1h40min interview pushed to me on Youtube today - interview with John Reading - Joey's 1sts Undefeated Coach 94/95, and coach if other teams throughout many years

Correct. But language and grammar does change over time.. Indeed "versing" was mentioned as a verb almost 40yrs ago in the NY Times as high school slang - https://www.nytimes.com/1984/02/20/nyregion/latest-word-new-yorkese-of-84-is-here.html The US also has the inverse concept of "atting" Knox...

450 is a pretty massive expansion (probably growing senior school by 1/3).

And in all likelihood you'd expect that game to be played again in Term 3

@Joker looks like schedules are being released. Maybe time to open the gates and see if the hounds can behave.

    CAS Rugby 2025

Not sure about that.. there's an old thread somewhere here that contains comments from the era. (Presumably with an earlier WLF account commenting) Pats and Pius afaik were guests in the CAS rugby comp from 1978-83 and played a few other sports but not all. Boys also weren't eligible for CAS...

Other question mark is what happens to the 3rds and Bs down. I assume they also play the alternate schools with the usual adjustments for depth.

So 1sts, 2nds, and 16A thru 13As. I presume some form of weighting like the subbies club champs. Will presumably also mean that CAS needs to keep more detailed records of the various As championships which historically have been more unofficial if I recall.

So now school is back, any updates on fixtures or how the rankings will work for the term 3 games.

Interestingly in the East I'm hearing the opposite problem with Cranbrook numbers for boys oversubscribed and they are giving preference to families with girls who are putting them on the lists.

Anyone know if Newington plans to grow enrolment going co-ed, or will the number of boys shrink over time?

SGS these days is a very different cohort to 20 years ago.. it's also as GPS schools go small - only 1200 boys at the Senior campus.

Coming into school holidays, the signal to noise ratio has definitely fallen.

    CAS Rugby 2025

Missed that bit.. but it would possibly extend the season - needing 11 games for each team, and opens up the possibility of playing someone you played in a trial. GPS this year was typically Term 2 - 2 proper trials (ignoring holiday and 3x20 games), 6 games Term 3 - 4 games And I think CAS...

Saw you posted on the AAGPS forum. I think you'll get some interesting responses. Suspect along the lines of why dilute the standards for ourselves when our comp is so close (6th place had 4 wins this year) Particularly for the schools who end up in the 2nd div.. get to run up a cricket score...

U18 Academy Games and Australia U18s

How do you know. Rugby isn't a party to the contract. Might even include a clause that prevents either the player or club announcing or acknowledging it until X date. I get the whole only wanting to invest in and play those who will continue, but you simply can't tell, unless you've got the...
