TME here, making my long awaited return from a 18-month hiatus. Was fantastic to venture down to Hunter's Hill this weekend to watch 'View take on Joeys. A tough result to stomach for someone with Riverview allegiances such as myself, but there were good signs for the upcoming GPS season...
Not to discount Joeys at all, but View played them without Bowen (10) and O’Donnell went off after about 25 minutes injured. Those two are certainly standout players, but the fact that view still managed to get up, albeit in a very close fashion, is a testament to the depth and skill in the view...
Not sure the exact length of his recovery and rehab, but with the long weekend and school holidays around the corner, hopefully he will be fit and healthy towards the back end of the season.
Not a good look from the CAS student contingent with their relentless personal attacks on the GPS1 and GPS2 players. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth after a great night of footy.
I was at the Riverview vs Barker match. Between passage of ‘view dominance (just a joke - it was a great match and both teams were impressive) I was able to gauge that the Riverview old boys were being rather vocal across the field, but didn’t hear of any particular misbehaviour. Would be good...
Usually the schoolboy’s contribution is rather witty considering they are studying creative writing and whatnot in English, but this match are seriously lacking.
