    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

And it isn't just the physicality he just doesn't have the all round game he won't have a size advantage in opens he won't be the quickest or have the best skills. There is a mad obsession, usually driven by adults not the kids, with fast tracking kids let them enjoy their footy play their age...

If he is it is too soon. I've seen him play in the junior gold cup comp and to be frank he has really come back to the field. The size advantage doesn't cut it so much anymore in fact the ACT centre completely out pointed him a couple of weeks ago. Like many young stars who are bigger than the...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Umm u must be missing something according to this list the overwhelming majority have had pro careers and many have gone on to higher rep honours origin and australia. So I don't get your point at all.

O'shea fans shouldn't lose any sleep he will be picked and so will all the other favourites and there will be players out of position and lead footed backs and better players running around in lower grades and joeys will have much the same year as they've had this year and last plodding along...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

Please let's avoid any ridiculous ethnic stereotyping. If someone is motivated, interested, talented and has opportunity then they will succeed whether it is rugby, chess or studying regardless of their ethnicity. a healthy multicultural mix at school is far more important and enriching for the...

fair point. i don't know whether dylan did or didn't put his hand up, i know he was playing nsw rugby league at around that time. but that isn't really what i'm talking about, he is just one example. i think it is undeniable that rugby has done a poor job of nurturing indigenous talent. it is...

    National U/16 Championships 2013

and that is another joke. how could tom not be there? whether it is dylan grant, or dylan mclachlan from scots, or ron streater mason, even travis blair - greg inglis's cousin no less - terrifically talented player who languishes in joeys c's while kids he'd run rings around play above him...

    National U/16 Championships 2013

no not lost to union gladly. i predict we will see him in the joeys 1st XV next year. i don't think we are seeing anything as crass as racism here, i just think there is a cultural issue. some of the creativity, flair and spontaneity of the indigenous boys may not be as appreciated as it should...

    National U/16 Championships 2013

hear hear! i know of an indigenous boy who played for nsw rugby league, stars for his gps rugby team and yet ignored by rugby selectors. it baffles me and it is a shame.

    National U/16 Championships 2013

i know of at least half a dozen indigenous boys who opted not to trial for school or club and focus on the lloydies...it just means a lot more.

First, a little comprehension lesson: statement a - late bloomers to look for. Statement b - as kids grow size advantage disappears. No mention of brick s'houses. Secondly, if you can't identify the boys wrongly overlooked you walk around with the joeys blinkers on and are exactly part of the...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

I watch joeys and there are some late bloomers to look out for, a few boys are playing in the b's and c's who would more than match the skill some of the more fancied kids above them. As kids bulk up there could be some surprises as long as selectors open their minds and given the dreadful...
