    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Wow, what a game. To play most of the last 20 with 13 men and score 12-0 to draw it well after full time was a massive credit to them.

    He has been phenomenal.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

To be fair, there a few Queenslanders in there via other states (eg. Wilcox, Langi), and Tom Robinson is injured for this game, Frankie Goldsborough injured and not touring, and Dre Pakeho starting for Reds big boys. Oh, and the Waratahs U20 pumped the Reds 40-12 at Ballymore and the Reds chose...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Great second half from the Junior Wallabies. With the exception of the maul defence in the first half I thought the forwards in the first half were excellent - second rowers in particular both put in a big shift in contact. Second half back row against a battered pack were phenomenal. Nice...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Yes, the 11. He was excellent for the full 80. If the Jnr Wallabies can land on a strong front row (mixed bag all round), find a way to improve their maul defence (found out badly) and a 12 that can really bend the line, they'll be a good team. Stacked for talent in back 5 forwards and outside...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Good squad. Probably a few really unlucky players like McLaren, Cesare, Palmer, Gillon, Ata. But that’s always the case- can’t take them all.

Plus 5 of the U20 starting team are from Joeys as well (2,4,5,9,10). The production line rolls on …

Yep, Goddard the Eastwood and former Knox school prop. Real shame for the poor kid.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Pretty sure both have ankle injuries and out for 6 weeks. Goddard and ACL and gone for the season.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Belated report …. Twas a big night at the SFS (or at least afterwards …). Tahs U20’s will certainly feel they left a lot of points out there. Tight 5 completely dominated for the first 60 mins but there was a lot of dropped ball out wide which meant they didn’t pile on the points as expected...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Pretty good effort I reckon Whisperer. From NSW maybe Liam Grover in the mix for outside backs and Mangelsdorf in the 2nd row. Goddard has done his ACL sadly. From the Brumbies Lipina Ata, Finn Baxter and Beau Morrison in the forwards can't be far off. Haven't seen the Reds or Force yet but...

Cheers Rudderless. Great result for the Tahs. Any standouts?

    Waratahs 2025

Thanks CR. With the Wallabies away and some on the injured list that was essentially the Tahs 2nd XV, so great to see some depth emerging. Good to see some back row potential coming along as losing Hanigan, Holloway and Swinton all at once leaves a bit of a gap for tall back rowers.

    Waratahs 2025

Waratahs with forward ball runners coming out of their ears - Bell, Tupou, Amatosero, Gleeson, Leota, Gamble ….. even the young back ups like Talataina, Halaholo, Kunavula, Smith etc are all carriers. Not sure who will be the ruck monsters making sure the ball is secure which has been a...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Thanks CR, jeez that a tough pool if that's the case, particularly as you generally need to finish top to get to the last 4. Backs really well covered. In the centres alone there is Pakeho, Goldborough, Grover, Enasio and Rubens. Maybe also Fittler to be considered if they need someone with a...

The AUS u20’s this year was predominantly Brumbies players from the team who won the u19s last year..

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Backrow players and patterns certainly wasn't the Waratahs 19s problem this year, and Durbidge couldn't have been the problem as he didn't even play on Saturday anyway (maybe if he did ...). The Easts Colts coach is the Tahs 19s coach anyway, and his excellent record speaks for itself. The...

U18 Academy Games and Australia U18s

Tahs dominate everything in their path in juniors from U15's to U18s. Losing 2 years in a row to Brumbies teams they should beat on paper is a bad look, but given they keep beating Qld it's all hardly pitchforks and burning at the stake stuff. Once a kid leaves school it's the senior Super Rugby...
