    NSW Schools Debating 2023

I believe that the topic was that "We prefer a world where we subsidise the moving costs for First Nations people to urban areas, instead of investing in infrastructure in First Nations Communities", and according to the unofficial ISDA table, Aloys were Aff and Grammar were Neg.

    NSW Schools Debating 2023

We have reached the end of the ISDA season, with another dominating performance from Sydney Grammar in the final. In what was reported to be a unanimous decision, Grammar beat Aloys in a close but clear debate and have managed to take home the Senior A ISDA competition for a third straight year...

    NSW Schools Debating 2023

Actually quite a number of schools nominate their ISDA team to take part in Archdale once their ISDA team has been knocked out or sometimes has one team running both ISDA and Archdale comps at the same time. Archdale is also on Tuesday evenings so it is quite possible that ISDA members can...

    NSW Schools Debating 2023

I believe William Ellis (Yr 11 I think) from Grammar also received a state callback but the rest seems to be accurate. The year 10 debaters seem very promising.

    NSW Schools Debating 2023

I would agree. Grammar's yr 10 cohort last year managed to win both the yr 10 and yr 9 (last year and two years ago respectively) ISDA comp and are most likely in either Senior Bs or Senior As. Regardless, they seem to be speakers that have a very promising future and are certainly speakers that...

    NSW Schools Debating 2023

Grammar seems to be the most intriguing considering the fact that they are top of Pool B with no state debaters. I would think that they would have some class speakers who you should keep an eye on. Knox also seems to be going well and undoubtedly have speakers to look out for as well.

    NSW Schools Debating 2023

Looking at the overall breaks for the Octos, I believe Grammar is the only school to have all teams break out of the group stage into the Octos. Please correct me if another school also managed this.

    NSW Schools Debating 2023

Any predictions for the Senior B comp? There are some strong schools that look to be the favourites.

    NSW Schools Debating 2023

Grammar look to be in a good position to go far into this ISDA season based off the current Octos draw and are still going strong with 6/7 from the group stage. I would think that final contention is currently between Grammar, Joeys and Aloys, but a few unexpected upsets might make it interesting.
