I understand that Dave Smerdon has moved from Gordon to Warringah to join some ex Barker College mates there including Tyson Davis and Harry Jones. I think that he plans to play grade in 2016. Not sure when he will resume playing but I did hear that he has been at pre-season trainings.
Another of the flyhalf's in this age group, Dave Smerdon (NSW Schools 2014) also withdrew from the initial squad selected due to a planned off season shoulder reconstruction.
It looks like Gordon played their postponed match against Warringah last night, winning 50-8. Not easy to now back up against Norths in less than 48 hours.
Good to see a few regular Colts players given the opportunity to play Grade at Chatswood Oval last night:
O'Shae - Uni made his First Grade debut at fly half
Wilkinson - Gordon 1st Grade Hooker
Dillon - Gordon 2nd Grade Prop
Smerdon - Gordon 2nd Grade fly half
Well done lads.

In 1st Colts - Gordon scored 5 tries to 4 but goal kicking let them down with 1 from 6 attempts. Uni led 21-5 at half time. The young Gordon side troubled the Students in what was a great game of rugby.
Colts Report - Round 2 Gordon vs. Eastwood

Colts Report - Round 1 vs. Easts
With 4 teams and over 80 boys registered for Gordon Colts, this season is already looking promising. The boys took on Easts at Mingara Regional Athletics Centre and from the outset it was evident that the...
Perhaps Fernandez (B) at Prop and Patterson (W) at 12 could figure in considerations.
Although there are 5 players selected in different positions than their school teams, most have past experience in these positions above. The tight 5 may be a weakness against GPS but this pack would be...
