I've been asking the same question as I'm assuming some boys from 4ths and 3rds last year will have a shot as Newingtons 16s were the weakest age group at Newington. I may be wrong but i am led to believe they have only won 1 game in the past 3 years
He is a good olympic coach. However, if you read my previous posts you will see that i never doubt that. I just comment on his ability to coach the Newington crew. So gogoldenbears get off your knees and learn to read.
Newington 2nd XV anyone? With most of the Yr12 powerhouses moving up into 1sts who will be coming through???
W.M has been doing a lot of explosive work including the revolutionary exercise of 'keg-throwing'
Newington is rowing a lightweight boat as if the crew averaged 100kg. Newington's rowing culture has changed. Boys realise that less weight = more speed. The coaches need to realise this as well and change their coaching style and work with the boys strengths not try to 'convert' the boys to...
Anybody from lower teams that may be wild cards for 1sts positions? I know Jordan Gillespie from TKS has been prioritising his passing in the hope to run on at 3.15 rather than 12
Newington after beating Scotch in the heat of the U21 Mens 8+ on the weekend has left spirits high, even though it was blatant that Scotch rated 24 for the last 300m. Ignorance is bliss. Culture will have to change for New to have a chance with keeping up with the big boys with their short...
Newington has some talented scullers in their current squad and i believe if they can take their competence in the 1xs into the 8+ then Shore should be very worried. Rumours around TKS mention Harrison Jones moving to Barker College on a rugby scholarship, any truth behind this?
Newington senior squad hasn't got a man over 90kg. Yes Shore is looking good although do you really think that these north shore boys will be able to move away in the third 500 when its neck-and-neck? Times have changed, Shore isn't as tough as they used to be.
The Newington College shed was put into quite a scare after HOTR when rumours started of the 2ndVIII 7-seat leaving the shed after possibly being dropped from the bow seat of the M.D.Morgan. Thankfully he was convinced to come back as he has much needed athleticism and arrogance (confirmed by...
Any new boats being brought out to SIRC this year? I heard newo was getting a Wintech King, if so, what's happening with the Hudson? View still in the blue waffle?
