Maybe Schmitty has decided on Lynagh and JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) so better for Donaldson to get some running in his legs in SRAU?
I have to say, Tom Fury was the best 10 last week in that comp by a mile. Donno might be on the bench!
Tom Fury... or Max Burey?

Joe has personally listed Gleeson as injured in the press release he wrote.

He also failed to write Faessler's name in the injured list of his press release. You can only assume that Joe doesn't rate him because of this.

Reality though is that game time a big factor surely. If he's fit, you'd like to think he features for the Reds next week

Faessler is one of the names removed from the injury list that was announced in the squad for the Argentina tests along with De Lutiis, Donaldson, Gordon and Reimer...

Make of that what you will.

As always the injured names are players who have been considered and would have been in contention if not injured, not players who definitely would be included if fit.

My assumption with Faessler is that Schmidt decided he hasnt shown enough this year and needs to work his way back. I wouldnt say schmidt doesnt rate him. He was schmidts go-to last year (even for game 1 against the lions) for good reason. But he's not played much rugby this year and needs to find some form...i kinda like schmidt approach to selection. Not afraid to leave a guy out if theyre not hitting their straps.

Shows how quickly pecking orders can change too. I thought Nasser was good in the weekend. Has always been good in the set peice but seemed solid around the field too after seemingly slipping to 3rd choice at the Reds this year.

This is the same media department that listed JOC (James O'Connor) twice in the team sheets in recent week.. wouldn’t read too much into who is listed as injured and who isn’t when they can’t even name the matchday 23 without a mistake.

I can understand JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) and Lynagh being preferred over Donno but there is no way Edmed should be picked over him. Doesn’t make sense
Maybe he doesn’t want him sitting in the stands in a suit? Better for him to get 60 mins in SRAU.

I think that's pretty much it. Joe likes stability and going by his MO, JOC (James O'Connor) and Lynagh are the starting incumbents, and Edmed doesn't get dropped entirely having started last week. Donno has to be patient for his opportunity to return to the main squad. He's allowed for 2 players to potentially be added to the squad for Perth, one of those will be Skelton, Donno could be the other but he's better off getting some minutes into his legs this weekend.

Couldn't the same apply to all of them, though?
Lynagh and Edmed would both benefit(arguably more) from playing SRAU

I'm perplexed by dropping Donaldson, both Lynagh and Edmed are short of the maturity/development required..

Slipper and McDermott could play their 150th and 50th test respectively in Game 1
Poor Tatey, has only started 14 of them.

I'd be interested to see the names of other players who have achieved 50 test caps but only started in 30% or less...

Not quite the same, but I believe Nonggorr just became the record holder for most tests without a start.
