For the AB players, to be the first team to lose to the Wallabies since 1986 at Eden Park, puts insane pressure on their shoulders ( & in their heads) to win. o_O
What a mine field in which for them to make numerous errors - particularly bad decision making, & this on top of the thrashing in their last game against the Springboks.o_O
And last but not least, having a near novice coach in Razor Robinson, who has not yet earnt the respect of the team, up against Wallabies coach, Joe Schmidt, the master mind. o_O

I like this team, good to see Tate starting in his 50th, he is the only 9 after White retired to have a combo with JOC (James O'Connor) from reds and coming off the bench in recent games. Gordon was going to be too underdone, good to see Lonergan finally gets his chance.

good to see AA come back and he will add a lot from the bench with Bell and BPA in the scrum, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is also crucial to start without Valetini and Skelton

Only real concerns may be wings and very inexperienced back up halves, but more worried about Edmed as I think Lonergan is up to it and has been in numerous Wallabies squads

We should all remember that the Brumbies beat the Blues at Eden Park breaking that hoodoo this year. Now with 8 Brumbies in the Wallabies 23, the scene is set to replicate that experience this weekend. Just to bring the Super Rugby match back to life, here are some excerpts from the GAGR media release following the Brumbies' win.

"Who says Australian teams can’t win at Eden Park, because nobody told the Brumbies that! The Eden Park ‘hoodoo’ is dead. Hopefully a potender for the Wallabies teams to come.

In a thrilling contest, that yet again went down to the last 2 minutes, the ACT Brumbies have walked away with the chocolates defeating last years champions, the Auckland Blues, at Eden Park: 20-21.

The Brumbies put on a set piece master class, befitting their pedigree and the enormity of the challenge. The Brumbies had plenty of hero’s (sic) on the evening with Tom Hooper, Rory Scott & Lachlan Shaw all outstanding and well supported by Charlie Cale & Nick Frost."

"The Brumbies bench maintained the rage, obliterating the much fancied Blue forwards at set piece. Disrupting Blues line outs and smashing there (sic) scrum to pieces. So much so that Ryan Lonergan kicked the Ponies into the lead in the 80th minute, courtesy of yet another Brumby scrum demolition job."

"Hoodoos are made to be broken."

Fuck what does it all mean? First reaction to that news is that it favours Australia given I think our scrum has looked good and the lineout is getting better while NZ have had some pain there.

On the other hand, heaps of pressure on our back three to field high balls, you would think.

I think it favours NZ mostly

Uh huh

I got every single thing I wanted.

What will I complain about until Saturday? Whither shall I turn should the team I demanded fail? What will become of me when I have nowhere to direct my indignation but inwards? All my wishes were granted and yet I remain unfulfilled. This is truly a hollow victory.
