Think this forum has given the scheduling enough air-time (no pun intended).
Whilst the All Blacks have just about a full-strength side & the wallabies some significant absentee's (Skelton, Valetini, Gleeson, Gordon), i still see the line ups as fairly balanced.
The let down for the Wallabies will be the back 20mins with very very little experience coming off the bench.
Will be interested to see who dominates set piece as tight 5 neck and neck for mine and this is where I think the wallabies best chance of victory will be.
That being said, the strike in the backline for the AB's is lethal and i can see this game getting out of hand very quickly

AFL Grand Final has been held on the last Saturday in September for the past 30 years; it's only changed from this on a couple of occasions due to clashing with major events like Cricket World Cup or COVID, claiming they didn't know because the draw wasn't released isn't a reason. They're simply fluffybunnys.
Yep Adam, and who the hell except for Aussies in NZ know or care what date the AFL final is on over here. I lived in Aus for 20 years, and until I saw it in papers a week before I couldn't of told you when the AFL final was on. Do you know when the NPC final is on in NZ without looking it up.
Genuinely RA should maybe of said something if they had a problem, they would know when it on more than NZR.

Anyway got the makings of an interesting test doesn't it? I think this Wallaby team is not the type to get hung up over history of the park, and I actually worry when I keep seeing things like the ABs will bounce back after last test, that kind of expectation can creep into players' mind and take a little edge off them, thinking it will just come.

Because NZRU would have changed it if RA asked?

Don't know, I suspect so . I was under the impression that both teams have to agree to dates and times of kick offs in any test anyway, apart from WC where world rugby sets the rules. That indicates perhaps RA are the ones who should of sorted it out!
Just out of interest from a World rugby site:

Yes, both unions must agree on the kick-off times and dates for rugby test matches as part of their responsibility to agree on International Tour arrangements. This agreement is a condition for World Rugby's approval of the tour, ensuring all stakeholders have sufficient time to plan.

I actually saw that when some kiwis were moaning about a test being played at a dumb time few years back, when I said if NZR agreed, noone could complain. And I think NZR should of stopped kick off time for next weeks game too, so there you go fellas.
Anyway @Tomthumb , you were saying? ;) Na mate we both been let down by our boards not checking things, RA should of known that some other sport that noone else in world know or cares about has got a game at same time. And NZR should of realised that a 5.45 in Perth kick off was a dumb time for kiwi viewers as well!

I didn't even know who was participating until I read it here of all places. FFS

I reckon, if your priorities lie in watching that crap excuse for "footy" you aren't really a rugby fan.
Imagine some of the talent that could run out for a Victorian and Australian rugby teams if they didn't worship false football idols.

5 turnovers conceded in 4 matches from the Boks is a mad stat

And actually........having a think, it doesn't seem that it could possibly be right? What's a turnover?

There were two intercepts in the first game and a knock-on that we returned for tries

It's the same with a lot of rugby stats that are never really explained. What, exactly, is a "clean break", or how, exactly, is a "defender beaten". How is a scrum won or lost etc... As long as they're from the same source you can assume they're consistent enough. Naturally it gets murkier when you try to compare between sources.

Of course, we now have the empirical proof that anything less than a clear three score Wallabies demolition is a moral W for the small PI battlers.

In essence rugby is a imperfect game with laws and not rules, that as we have seen on this and many other forums is open to many individual interpretations.

And yes, the stats may not be 100% accurate or measure exactly what you think they may measure, but at least they give us a base to start a discussion on a far better informed basis than a naked eye, particularly those that favour only using one at times.

The bulk of stats are collected worldwide by Opta and you would expect that in most cases using similar collection criteria and we should be grateful that via a number of web sites they do allow us access to see some of them. I believe teams can get far more in depth stats for their own analysis.

Thank you Adam84 some of us appreciate them as it helps us get a better understanding of the game we love and its many nuances.
