Starting off, I agree with you, scot's new head of rowing has done wonders for the crews this year, whether he will continue to stay at the college is a different story.

But with only 6 year 12 boys in the whole program they were very restricted with their talent and size among their crews, head of the river was a utter disappointment for all of scots, but compared to previous results throughout the season they had the ability to much better, and had done so.

2025 will be a huge season for scots, either big win or another huge loss, huge potential coming from the juniors 8's with a all new winter program made to "Boost" the program, but they will need more than a boost to get them back on track.

Agree with you junkie, one of the biggest junior cohorts in a while, retention is key and the boys need to get around it. A full season together will do the juniors wonders, considering that almost 16 of them were first year rowers. 2025 is a year that has massive potential for scots, just needs to be consistent improvement throughout the whole season and combinations must be solidified earlier, far to early to predict crews IMO.

Predicted crew for 2025 Kings

Stroke: Luke Fleet - Year 12 2025 (2nd 8 winner 2024)

6: Lachlan Tindal - Year 11 2025 (2nd in Aus under 17 Skull, 2nd 8 winner 2024)

5: Isaac Fonua - Year 12 2025 (3rd 4 winners with no training, rumour has that will come back to shed to make 1 8 next year)

4: Harry Bodman - Year 12 2025 (New from Canberra Grammar in 2024, 1st 4)

3: Hamish Matthews - Year 11 2025 ( 5 Seat 1st Jnr 8 2024)

2: Nick Platis - Year 11 2025 (Stroke 1st jnr 8 2024)

Bow : Lachlan Rogers - Year 11 2025 (7 Seat 1st Junior 8 2024)

Cox: No idea

Let me know your thoughts, quite a promising crew if i say so myself. Definitely think shore and view to be favourites after a strong finish of the 2024 season but wouldn't be writing off Kings.

Would also like to see a predicted Shore and View 8's.

I think this is a pretty accurate prediction, although with the current coxing concerns at kings and a confirmation from inside sources that the second 8 LC Robson winning coxwain will not be returning for another season. Hugh Miller and Edo Dawson looking in great form to contend for 1st 8 cox next year. Rumor is that the 1st 8 contenders are considering voting out gerber, for new and upcoming brother of returning first 8 memeber archie farrah.

Predictions for the Eight

Cox- Archie Farrah
Stroke- Luke Fleet (LC Robson Winning 2nd Eight)
7- Will Farrah (Major Rennie Losing 1st 8 crew) Only returning 1st eight rower
6- Lochlan Tindal (LC Robson Winning 2nd Eight)
5- Harry Bodman (Just Harry nothing special)
4- Tom Duffy ( 1st IV )
3- Angus Dugan ( Injured last season 3rd IV Winner)
2- Nick Platis (1st Junior 8)
1- Lachie Rogers (1st Junior 8)

Signing off

I can understand why predictions would put Kings in 3rd, I can see a lot of reliance on the JNR Viii rowers. I am certainly excited for the dog fight between Shore and View next year and potentially Kings in the 1st VIII.

Any predictions for what the IVs for each school may look like as well as some HOTR predictions for the IVs?
Dear Mauldog + Forum,
My predictions for the IVs at HOTR in 2024-25 are as follows:

1st IV:
1. Ignatius
2. Shore
3. TKS
(Could go either way in the top 3)

2nd IV:
1. Shore
2. TKS
3. Ignatius/Newington

3rd IV:
1. Ignatius
2. Shore
3. St Joesphs

4th IV:
1. Shore
2. TKS
3. Ignatius

Can see a defined pattern of dominance coming from the boys from North Sydney and Riverview, With the boys from Parramatta trailing closely.
