Word out of Italy is that Junior Wallabies captain Eamon Doyle is a late withdrawal with illness. Pretty big blow to our chances, but hopefully others can step up vs England later tonight.

Brilliant result from the boys. What a pity a period of insanity (conceding 8 tries in 25 mins in the middle of their first game vs SA) blighted their tournament for what has been a great season (6 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw).

Our scrum was dominant today and the backs just cut loose. Players to look out for in the coming years?

I think in the forwards Edwin Langi, Lipina Ata, Eli Langi look like they will convert into very good players. Although a 7s player, Ekanayake was excellent at No. 7 today. The fact they were so good without probably their best player today, Eamon Doyle, was a great sign of their improvement. Vunipola is not the biggest prop but played really well today in his starting debut.

In the backs, Pakeho is already on his way, but Enasio as a No. 12 has been the find of the tournament for us. Fowler and Harvey settled the debate for 10/15 and just got better and better, and Cooper Watters and Nick Conway (currently injured) were exceptional. James Martens probably the most improved player and looks the goods.

I watched the replay today and the passing and support play were particular features. Our centres and back row were causing mayhem every time they got near the ball. Fantastic stuff.
