I'm sorry JJ who the f*ck do you think you are? (Pardon my French) In society you can't put some down by criticising their feelings. Looks like you only care about raising your reaction score (or making sure it doesn't get to -30 again).

Anyway here are my predictions that don't forget about a Iona and put Laurie's twice like JJ did @Jackal Julie:

1. Marist
2. Padua
3. Laurie's
4. Iona
5. Villa
6. Pats
7. Eddies
8. Peters

ATA
Wild to think you have Villa coming 5th. Came 4th this year and pretty sure from looking at a team list that their starting 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14 and 15 are back.

Games against the other 4 teams you've put above them will undoubtedly be epic though. Could be one of the best comps we've seen in years.

Agreed. I think Villa have a good chance this year and wouldn't be surprised if they take it out. Good team on paper and have the spirit to go along with it. Does anyone know what round Marist vs villa is? I reckon this could be the premiership decider.

Hey babe,
Just wondering if you know of any prospects coming out of villa,
sorry not familiar with the team,

Hey jaggers. A couple of names that I'll be looking out for come May next year:

Darcy Kerr (fullback- made u16's emerging cup this year)
Alex Borger (halfback- had a good season this year and is a sharpshooter off the tee)
Rocco Tanks (don't know much about this young fella but heard good things about him)

Jaggers can I ask you what school you went to back in the day? Just want to make sure your not part of the schoolboy takeover thats happened in the past few months.

Julie baby,
dont need to worry, I come the home of the brave other wise known as Wagga Wagga high school.
Graduated in 1982, as a proud Waggerian.
However Julie baby, as of late I have been following the AIC rugby as my grandsons have recently entered the system at the hallowed Villnova college. Although I despise of the move myself, I deal with the pain speaking here on the forum

(ps. still looking cute julie)

Thanks, jaggers

I'm surprised you knew how to find this website Jaggers in your old age. Good to see we've still got some older forumists passionate about their footy. Would be keen to meet up with you at a game next year to chat footy.

Yeah totally agree mate will be a great comp to watch. I just feel that the strengths of Marist and Padua will obviously be better but I think Laurie's and even Iona can force wins over Villa.

P.S. @Jackal Julie With great age comes great footy knowledge. We are both in our 50s and let's just say the footy chat is ELITE.

Well said ATA. We've aged like fine wine when it comes to our footy knowledge. Shame the same can't be said about our appearance. Think we've probably sunk a few too many on Saturday arvo's watching some quality schoolboy footy. Think we might need to start hitting the gym to keep up with all these young footy players.

Agree on these JJ, Kerr is an absolute weapon! Would start at most of the GPS schools.

Additionally I think Cooper Harris the prop is very, very good. Their 10 Francis controls a game beautifully too. Had a pearler against Iona this year. Only saw a couple of their games though.

On other schools, I also got to see Lauries a couple of times. Think next year the hooker Brad, centre Gio could be in for a big year. Good 10 and 15 there too I think might be returning?

Yes I can confirm that the fullback is returning for Laurie's in fact he will be there in 2027 as well.

Ahh Julie,
your perfect just the way you are darling.
Watching some good footy and having a yarn with some old friends, life doesn't get much better than that.

I think Marist will be the ones to beat this year
I've heard they've got a new scrummaging coach 'Steven Case' (OB 1998) who has significantly boosted there go forward at scrum time with his "salads don't win scrums" mindset
Interested to see how there front row will shape up, with some quality front rowers coming through the younger grades

Yes I do remember Steven Case, graduated a few years after myself. In his prime there was no one that could stop him. To say he dominated the AIC would be an understatement. We all thought we had another John Eales on our hands. Haven't heard of the bloke since. Wonder where he is today.

ATA that's just a stupid assumption. Just cause AIC didn't start till 1999, didn't mean there wasn't footy played before that. What do you think they did in 1998, read books? Don't be silly. And what harm is there in reminiscing about the good old days. As Dr Suss would say, "Don't cry cause it's over. Smile because it happened."

Yes, except you said they were tearing up the AIC in 1998 when the competition hadn't even started. This is foolish and 'silly' as you tried to call me in your last post. Also never heard of a Dr Suss?
