Aussie Player Exodus

Reports out of New Zealand are that Reesjan Pasitoa is close to signing with the Highlanders for 2026. Was really hoping he would end up in Aus getting another opportunity. Kiwi background, so probably wont seem him in Aus again.

Former Brumbies and Western Force back Reesjan Pasitoa has been signed by the Highlanders, the Herald understands, offering him a chance to rebuild his career across the ditch. Pasitoa, who is still only 23, played for Northland in the NPC and featured in the No.12 jersey.

Shouldn't stop the Brumbies having an interest if he's available for 2026.
He won't be, he's currently contracted to Exeter for the current season that ends June 2026. Deals can always be done, but the only way I can see that happening is for a Wallaby qualified player that RA are interested in, otherwise the money just won't be there.

The Ghost of Raelene

19 games, 14 tries in Q Cup is a good season when learning.

I think he could be a good Fullback in Rugby and seems a late developer play wise. With a few new NRL sides coming in guys like this will be filling out the squads.

Probably works enough at State Cup level but once in the NRL the halves really need an astute kicking game or the career is a flash in the pan once the know you only run or kick it long.

Feels similar to Super Rugby Centres going back to Club land and being able to play 10 to a good enough level like Walton has done for Gordon in SS.

Hard part at Fullback is the organising of the defence in League and on the Wing these days you have to be prepared to take a shit ton of tough carries. I'd love to see him in a settled side in Rugby.

Looks like Lochlan Swinton is being released by Union Bordeaux-Bègles
"In the back row, Lachlan Swinton will also not be staying in Bordeaux. Injured for several months, the Australian had a promising start to his French adventure, but his performance gradually declined"
