Reports in the paper today that Feds have charged a senior RA staffer with child porn related offences. The guy is James Selby who is the GM of Community Rugby. RA board have met and terminated him immediately.

Awful. But RA makes the correct and only decision available. Hopefully we can sail on and this is all there is to it.

I’ve know of an individual who held a rather high security clearance in the government which required comprehensive vetting, yet after holding it for a number of years he was found guilty of child porn. Incriminated through someone else in the network.

vetting for these scumbags is near impossible

No amount of vetting is going to pick that up unless he has prior form. It’s unfortunate that he was employed by RA, but in no way a reflection on processes or ethical standards.
I know I was just shocked the whole thing is so sick. Hopefully if guilty they throw the book at him

RA shouldn’t get excited about a sold out test on the GC. It was clear it was the Boks and ABs most came to see. Amazing atmosphere when they played.

But if it was a standalone Wallaby test, particularly against the Pumas, the crowd would have been dire.

the venue is a sensational veiwing venue but doesn’t have a lot else going for it. Harder than Ballymore to get to and from.

It does make a good argument for it as a world cup venue though

I am pretty sure that every game was a full house back in 2003.
My wife and I went to Georgia v Uruguay at the SFS, and I didn't think that was a sell-out :)
Wikipedia tells me: Attendance: 28,576
Which is pretty good considering

We lived on the Central Coast at the time, the Irish were based there, and Terrigal was heaving with their supporters. Never seen anything like it.

Man I want to sign up - go watch them as inspiring promo. Top shelf - why can’t we create that sort of promo…
Even the Federal Government, with all their resources, produced some truly dire promos in the early days of Covid19. Maybe it is a national weakness.
