It's a tough one with employee/player behaviour and how much you tolerate. Individuals can be brilliant at their jobs but some come into the category of brilliant jerks. When things are going really well you may tolerate it for a bit, but when it goes the opposite way they can become a cancer. Elevating one or a small group of individuals above the group and accepting their poor behaviour pisses other people off and they leave or their own performance falls away. I've seen it so many times.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to cut the disrupters loose or tell them to go away and grow up first.
