Annual turnover at the top 6 English Clubs is around 20+ mio pounds each ($40 mio AUD). The bottom 4 clubs (except Newcastle) annual losses around 400k. So not as bad as the headline sounds. Not sure how much RFU pumps into each Club, compared to the numbers RA pump into Super Rugby Franchises?

With a 15% increase in turnover or 10% cost cutting they are close to breakeven.
