I'd be interested in hearing opinions about who are the best current schoolboys coaches amongst the various competitions and perhaps also opinions about those who aren't going so well in the coaching arena and why?

A good start is probably the 2012 coaches of Newington, Barker and Oakhill - does anyone know about their backgrounnds?

Great to recently read that Geoff Mould, coach of the famous '77 Aust Schoolboys is still coaching up the north coast

What a team! Most went on to become legends, some even legends in both codes (I.e. Michael O'Connor - current Oz Sevens coach - dual international - State of Origin Immortal).

And the Ella's! There has been no comparison since!

Damon Emtage from Brisbane Grammar (former Reds assistant coach) has transformed the BGS 1st program. Being appointed the position after BGS's woeful 2009 season going down by over 100 points, he changed the Grammar team to be in a top of the ladder Queensland GPS final round clash this weekend.

From a previous thread it would appear papahatzis of Auggies has won 9 Waratah Shields over an extended period of years with two different schools. Auggies went from a good rugby league school with many 1st grade players produced to a rugby union strong hold.
Coached NSW to win this year. Unsure of any other previous success.

Damon Emtage Brisbane Grammar has got to be one of the best schoolboy coaches around, BGS just won first outright premiership in 40 years. And they didnt have many imports or a very big team, just an incredibly well drilled team.
