I think you are pretty close HH. I would have Frost instead of Phillip though.

Like it, if Petaia is fit I'd like him at 13, think Eddie will pick Hooper and drop Uelese, I'd also have Frost over Phillip

80k is a great result and would justify the location.

fact is stadium aus has had bad turnouts at the most recent events as people dont like going out there so your large venue options are perth and melbourne. seems like melbourne and rugby au were pretty pleased with the last game in melbourne.

i think its a shit stadium for rectangular sport tho in general so don't really like it - i think marvel is better for rectangular in melbourne and obviously AAMI is the best (it is a genuinely great stadium for soccer and rugby).

what is SFS/Allianz like? i heard from a good friend that he thinks its a bit of a joke i.e a huge spend and hardly an improvement on the old SFS and that no roof was a ridiculous decision.

I really like the new SFS. It's a much better facility as a whole than the old one. The views in the old one weren't bad either so I'd say the improved it a bit but there wasn't heaps to do in that aspect. I will I say that I sat in a corner of the new one and the view was great due to the steepness so they definitely eliminated a lot of shit seats. Comm Bank is very good and I imagine like AAMI

I agree about the roof but we'd bash the government regardless of what was build. It's just what we do.

was impressed by the first couple of visits but kind of gone cold on it tbh

the viewing angles are good but the rest feels a bit dated already. its very concrete-y. you look at the amenities, aesthetics etc. of the new stadiums being built around the world - America especially - and it's pretty soulless in comparison (granted also like half the cost of these)

Only changes for me would be Philip instead of Arnold and McDermott to start (he's really banging down the door from the bench)

Agreed. For all the upheaval it’s too similar to what it replaced. Angle of the tiers pretty much the same. Sure the concourse is an improvement but Parramatta is much better viewing, the steeper seating makes you feel really close to the game. I was hoping for that experience.

Reckon Eddie should go with this:

1 - Slipper (c)
2 - Porecki
3 - AAA
4 - Frost
5 - Skelton
6 - Holloway
7 - McReight
8 - Valentini
9 - White
10 - Cooper
11 - Korobiete
12 - Kerevi
13 - Perese
14 - Nawaqanitawase
15 - Kellaway

16 - Faessler
17 - Bell
18 - Topou
19 - Phillip
20 - Gleeson
21 - McDermott
22 - Gordon
23 - Petaia

- Bring on the reserve front row either at HT or early in the 2H
- Hooper still on rehab group and injured for last game, so pick McReight who is in better form and more match fit
- Bring Petaia off the bench for his versatility, X-factor ability and coming back from injury and allow a specialist 13
- Phillip was good off the bench last week so keep him there, Arnold was underwhelming and Frost & Skelton are our 2 best locks so start them

Like it, hope that is what we get. I think Hooper might come back in though

Sounds like Hooper won't play:

"He wasn't able to train today and we'll need to make a medical assessment of him over the weekend and see whether he can participate in the game or not," Jones told reporters on Saturday.

"We've still got a week to go and calf injuries we tend to be more careful with their rehab than other injuries so medical staff are being pretty careful with him."
