Sounds like he has some good credentials, received some accolades in his period as the director of the Australian Olympic Sailing team, he was nominated for Australian Sports Director of the Year and won the Australian Sports Commission Program of the Year.

And even more importantly, it looks as though he has very little association with the Rugby Union old boys fraternity with his background been in sailing.

Also well qualified to help spot the good cattle running around the park
Probably ran around with Michael O'Connor in his school days.

Going to have his work cut out to get the Brums back on track but certainly looks to have a great resume to get it done. Best of luck to him and ACT Rugby.

Stirling Mortlock (74)
Maybe he can use his sailing connections and get us a nice Swiss watch brand as a sponsor...........

Sydney is full of corporate investment bankers... Many talk bid ideas about culture and world class brand profiles buts its his contacts which will be most valuable for the team. So welcome and bring your best game Mr Jones...

But unlike your garden variety investment banker Jones actually ran companies , has passion and has the ability to cut through the bullshit ... Mr Pulver meet Mr Jones ....

The one item on his resume that I think is significant is the rescue of Kendall and Hazelton Airlines from the Ansett collapse, merging them and creating Regional Express. That involved financial management and capital raising together with establishing a new and successful corporate culture.

Brumbies have had a lot of changes... I like he has a new board, lucky for him the team and coach are excellent... He needs to get Canberrans out showing real support and buying tickets...
A good corporate sponsor will come, CA was great for many years beed another one like them...

Well it would harden up the players if they did a trip to South Africa on a Saab 340, they would have to go via Indonesia, Malaysia, Burma, India, Pakistan, Iran, Oman, Yemen, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique.
