When? Wednesday around 8ish?

Where? At BRuCE StADIUM, Canberra

canberra.jpg

Why? To continue our long and illustrious history of a town of 400k people giving four countries with a combined population of 74m people a right royal thrashing in front of all their friends and relatives.

Weather? Colder than a penguin's stepdad.

Predictions? Let's not forget, the plucky underdog always has a few tricks up their sleeve so they could make it close, and incumbents are always vulnerable to complacency. The Brumbies will be looking to avoid that trap and press their advantage early to avoid a famous upset.

Good effort Uh Huh. By my count, there will only be three Wallabies available for the Brumbies, Lachie Lonergan, Cadeyrn Neville and Luke Reimer. It will be the most inexperienced side put out by all of the Super Rugby teams.

My go at the team :

1, Lington Ieli
2. Lachie Lonergan
3. Feao Fotuaika
4. Lachlan Shaw
5. Cadeyrn Neville
6. Tuaima Tualima
7. Luke Reimer
8. Rory Scott

9. Ryan Lonergan (c)
10. Declan Meredith
11. Corey Toole
12. David Feluai
13. Hudson Creighton
14. Ollie Sapsford
15. Jack Debreczini

16. Liam Bowron
17. Harry Vella (if fit)
18. Rhys van Nek
19, Toby McPherson
20 Judah Saumaisue
21. Harrison Goddard
22. Austin Anderson
23. Ben O'Donnell

If hooper doesn’t get too many minutes today I think there is a big chance you’ll get him back for this, especially if Skelton and/or Valetini are expected to be fit for the first BIL test.

I must have missed some news about Andy Muirhead, I was hoping he would start.

The Brumbies' rush umbrella defence has the potential to be highly effective against the Lions, who rely heavily on wide play and cut-outs. If Muirhead isn't playing, I'd be inclined to give his defensive role to Lonergan and move Sapsford into the midfield for a bit more starch.

I kinda want Reimer on the bench with Scott starting at 7. The Lions have been taking the game away in the second half. Bringing a fresh Reimer on with 30-35 to go will really stuff up their flow, slow down their ball and give the Brumbies' less experienced subs more possession and more time to organise in defence. I'm picking Tualima at 8 and Hooper Jr at 6.

Do we even still have Ben O'Donnell? I thought he'd already left. I'd be inclined to go with a 6/2 bench anyway, but that relies on having 80 minute players on both wings.

I expect Andy Muirhead and L Hooper to be in the team…
Muirhead for sure. There is a decent break before the indigenous game. My error.

Hooper, I don't think so. Three days between games is not ideal and asking for an injury. On the strength of his performances this year and against Fiji, he is essential to the Wallabies for the Lions tests. Don't risk him unnecessarily.

It’s Lachlan Hooper he is talking about. However, I think if Skelton is playing then only one of Frost and Hooper will be in the test 23. If it’s Frost then I see no reason why T Hooper couldn’t back up on Wednesday after today’s cameo, I mean half the lions team will be. Maybe he will anyway even if he is in the test 23.

Tomikin is going to have a heart attack in his brain when he sees his enormous-cocked My Little Pony brumbies horsey drowning in some mountains.

Shit, I thought this was you posting after a pitcarin lager festival. The artwork is absolutely on point for your paintshop skills.
