Looks like CAS convenor has finally updated the calender - and it's a shared one with AAGPS and ISA for the first 2 weeks.

Full CAS rounds only uploaded for the Henry Plume Shield (1sts)

For the open depths in Week 1 of scheduling.
Aloys - 3rds
Barker - 5ths
Cranbrook - 6ths
Knox - 9ths
Trinity - 4ths
Waverley - 5ths

Joeys goes to 14ths, Riverview 11ths, Kings 9ths, Scots 10ths, High 3rds, Newington 8ths, Shore 8ths, Grammar 3rds, Oakhill 5ths, Augustine's 6ths

Might be some byes for some teams, so some schools might go deeper.

In Barkers 2nd game of the Sanix tournament they had a good win over Higashi Fukuoka, 52/24. Opposition was weaker than yesterdays game. Baker needs another pool game to go their way which is unlikely. They paid the price for having a mixed team of 1sts and 2nds players rather than their 1st XV until the game was beyond doubt. Sadly, due to yesterdays defeat, it looks unlikely they will progress and will most likely play off for 5th.

Suprised to see Oakhill with only 5 opens teams.

For a school that has been very strong over the past few years, that is less that I would have expected. Perhaps a bit concerning for them given they don't supplement their 1st XV or have league player placed into the school, but rather have traditionally relied on home grown players. I wonder if the changing demographics of NW Sydney might be started to filter through and have an impact on their rugby numbers?

I believe they've had 5 or 6 opens teams most years, but yes, player numbers are down over all of the age groups. I'm sure the demographics of The Hills and surrounding areas are changing, but I think you'll find there are other reasons why numbers are down at Oakhill.

Waverley this year have 5 teams in Opens and 4 teams in each age group from 13's to 16's. (21 all up)

This week the school plays Joeys with the exception of 15A's and B's playing Oakhill.
