I was at the game, Cranbrook came out swinging in the second half before Ah-Colt went down (in Trinity's 22), it was 100% game on at that point.

It's preseason, mate; upsets happen the whole time, and we see different results pan out to what we expected in the preseason. Anything is possible when the talent level is so high.

Cranbrook were looking strong in the latter half of the first, apologies.

I do think on paper cranbrook was the stronger team but trinity outclassed and stunned a cranbrook team that was expecting an easier win. It should be very interesting to watch them face up again in round 5.

Barker v Knox first up! Barker started the trials on fire but have come back to earth a bit and were flattered by the scoreline against Shore. Knox have been solid without being spectacular, although they did lead Joeys for a while. Home ground will mean nothing.
I'm tipping barker by 9 unfortunately. Knox to be on top early but Barker to come home strong. Forwards to cancel each other out and Barker slightly ahead in the backs.

Barker backs have been underwhelming this year so far (Japan and trials) with the exception of the 12 in the Japan games

Yeah, they definantly have poteintal and hope and showed a touch of brillance in pre season although i dont know if they have a solid enough pack. There back line was outstanding but i dont think there forwards have the size and scrum skill to match up against the likes of waverley, knox and barker.

I think it is too early to tell, let us get through the first week of CAS then we can start to figure out the standings.

Our No. 8 has entered his “don’t talk to me unless it’s about protein” era. The backs? Moving like they're coded in Unreal Engine 5. The forwards? Built like NPCs in their final form — and they’ve got unfinished business.


This isn’t rugby anymore. It’s a cinematic universe. You’ll blink and suddenly you’re down 15–0, and Knox is already jogging back like it's light work. We don’t play halves. We play spiritual awakenings. One try at a time.
