Loved what AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) brought to the game. He really is a class act, in any other nation but this one where we are constantly looking for 'x' factor from our players, the man goes onto the field, gives 100% every time, and makes a ridiculously small number of errors while routinely exposing his opposition.

He will be 1st XV again for the RWC for all key games. Only a lunatic would bench him in that pressure environment where players are routinely exposed. My backline on current form as demonstrated in this game is Phipps, Foley, JOC (James O'Connor), To'omua (with LILO damn unlucky), TK, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Folau. Cooper, Genia, LILO bench, but Speight might squeeze in past LILO depending on super form.

It has to be noted:-
  • White's unnecessary kicking
  • White's pass into touch
  • Folau's pass into touch
  • etc.
  • etc.
So that's what you got from the whole 80 mins. No mention of the other errors or mistakes of any others players. Given White only kicked once during the game an attacking grubber for Beale which resulted in Brown taking the ball into touch and an attacking lineout inside the 22 with the only other outcome being a try to Beale who in all probability called for the kick your criticsm shows a lack of understanding of the game and what it takes to win games. On the pass into touch when attempting to initiate a short side attack maybe AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) could have actually attempted to catch the ball. Keep up the well reasoned detailed analysis.

Perhaps you didn't notice this in your haste to denigrate me?

Except this season AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) wasn't consistently good, and did not consistently "make a ridiculously small number of errors".

He was exposed on the wing defensively numerous times this year (unusual for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) but it did happen), was fairly anonymous in attack, and I thought was pretty damn average on the wing all season.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has a reputation and history of what you stated, but I don't think he was his usual best this season - at least not on the wing. He was outstanding when he was moved to 13.

IMO, he is an average winger, absolute world-class 13. He can shifted to the bench by Kuridrani and another more natural winger (JOC (James O'Connor), Speight, Tomane, Cummins). Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

USA ... Agree your comments re Kurandrani .... I was commenting on AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) in the English match not comparing them / Re Drani he has that #$% Factor that the Wallabies need (I Hate that term !) ... On Phipps , because its constant I just get domestic deafness (sounds like I'm getting grief from the missus) , that's the turnoff for the refs no matter how valid the point. The captain needs to be more assertive and take some of the load off him so Phipps will be heard when it matters . Also whatever happens re the captaincy of RWC2015 Hooper will become more assertive as he matures through a steeper learning curve than most , there are many positives brewing on the RWC , I say buy when the market is falling . I've never heard of the term "I'm not in it to win it !" - neither I hope has Cheika and the Wallabies !

We were in the Southern Stand at the back of the first level, just below the boxes belonging to the suites in the Marriott Hotel. As you can see the view wasn't too bad.

These were the seats that the RFU allocated to the ARU's travel agency 'We Love Rugby'. We had a weekend package with the test tickets and two nights accommodation at a hotel in South Kensington.

Lets bring this to the front again.
It will be interesting to see if the same issues from last year are carried through to this year's test campaign.
There has certainly been a lot of hype about the evolution of the second row. Will the apparent improvement in Skelton from ARC also ran to Waratah 80 minute hard man, convert into test match dominance.
Watch those cunning Allblacks devise a plan to minimise Skelton's impact.
Will our non kicking back three still strike mirth into the hearts of the opposition tacticians?
Will our scrum become a focus again for the referees or will our Argentinian scrum doctor create a weapon for us to wheel out in crucial moments?

Stirling Mortlock (74)
If we had scrum parity in this match I reckon we would've won easily. I thought we dominated them everywhere else. Not really concerned if our scrum improves.
