Force v Brumbies Super Rugby Aus Saturday 20 September 1600 AEST

Dam didn’t expect this result following last week, Max Burey has done some great stuff today, his goal kicking hasn’t been the best though. Brumbies still in with a shot.
I thought the travel might play well in the Force's favour, but the side the Brumbies named looked much too strong. Force looked to have really stepped up after last week, where they looked pretty rusty at first.

Force Backs and Brumbies Forwards would be an impressive team in this tournament.

Max Burey is moving up the national 5/8 pecking order following this game, has overtaken HMP and Meredith
Played very well. Love the way he puts the defence under pressure with his variety of options. Test level is a big step up. HMP is way back imo. Meredith did some good things.

The main difference I saw this match was that the Force played wide and chanced their arm right from the get go while the Brumbies had a more dour one off the ruck plan until just before halftime. Even though there are a lot of inexperienced players going round, I think Bernie Larkham probably needs to change his attacking plays to add more variety and expansive play early on. The truck it up game just doesn't seem to work all that well any more, particularly if you're prone to losing the ball on phase 1 or 2.

Agree their attack needs to evolve again, but they made a lot of basic mistakes today that made it bloody hard for them.

Brums and Canberra Vikings have struggled in Perth for a long time too, today was just another disappointing result in a long list.

Reminiscent of the Waratahs under Coleman. Truck it up and lose possession. Brumby backs did get it wide sometimes. Force definitely the better side on the day.
