Force vs Drua 12/5 Perth

Equalizer

Endeavour is a beautiful thing. You bring it and apply it with passion and good things can happen. We had it, we applied it and we reaped the rewards and HBF park was filled with pride. And damn those blue jumpers looked good.

Tonight was a team win because there were performances across the park. Stewart, Rahbonii, Spink, Mataele, Williams and Fainga'a were excellent. In fact Stewart was huge. Mutch like Patrick Stewart as Captain Piccard in Star Trek...his play just said.... a win?.... "make it so".

Experience counts. Robertson back in the meat palace made a huge difference to the stability of the scrum. Like wise Fainga'a carried the ball well into contact and chewed up metres. Tizzano, what a revelation. I swear he looks like he pops his shoulder every week but he keeps on going and going. 80 minute effort! Tough as nails along with the hit up machine Sam Spink. This guy puts his body on the line. Sign him up long term!

Mataele was in everything and made some key runs and our offload and link up play seemed to flow. Are the team gelling at the tail end of the season? One thing is for sure, playing at home makes a difference and we need more in the Sea of Blue to support the team. Wins will do this and we are heading in the right direction.

Reinforcements are coming for 2024. Keep it going. Keep the same team flavour, Happy Mothers Day to the mums........Go You Force!

Aussie sides with a Friday night clean sweep.

On the bright side let's hope @Derpus missed the whole lot.

Perhaps request the TMO to investigate if there was anything unlawful associated with the HIA - which is all that the players were requesting.
Bro he got banned. They missed it. It's shit but sometimes they are Gona miss it. It was like a month ago

Great win by the force. Mitchell mentioned how the drua had to travel all the way from Fiji and they would be happy with the score at half time but forgot to mention that the force came back from NZ again for the second time in a month this week.

Force playing greatly at home and turning it into a hard place to beat them.
Gardner has turned into a pretty average ref. Both ways. Can't ref the breakdown. Ridiculous high tackle call. Not sure what's going on there.

Yes the high tackle from a jersey pull half way up his back was a joke. He'd swear the guy was hit in the nuts if he ankle tapped him!

Was it a forward pass that stopped the try after the "high tackle"… that was bizzar as well. They scored anyway

Great win and as a Rebels fan I look on enviously at having all your wins at home in front of crowds.

What's a ref to do? Listen to the players on the opposing team or trust his TMO. Given the quality of some of the TMO's, that's not an easy question to answer.
Or use his own nous based on the simple observation that a player was lying unconscious on the ground for a significant period of time and needed to be removed after a seemingly unremarkable passage of play?

I hope than while visiting Perth, Angus Gardner gets the chance to catch up with Jake Strachan and explain why he, and the other match officials, did nothing about Swinton’s unlawful hit on him only 30 seconds into the game against the Tahs. An apology wouldn’t go astray.
Swinton hasn’t played since – and rightly so – but neither has Stachan, due to concussion protocols, and all he was doing was playing rugby.
To be fair, Stachan has returned to club rugby (according to Forces social media) in Perth, just not selected yesterday.
And Swinton has been given a big suspension and has likely seen his World Cup dream gone.
