I see the real reason for a lot of this butthurt is how playing in the B side doesn't shoo Cooper into the first team.

Everything we've seen last two years shows he's clearly second choice at 10 (out of two flawed candidates) and Cheik/Larkham have him pegged that way.

Therefore, excepting a few Queenslander's heads, there's no drive work Quade back to first choice 10 in an A team. Sinking or swimming this weekend is his best shot (other than Foley blowing up)

It's a lot more than that.

But with regards to the 10 role Cooper was clearly preferred in some games this year when Foley was out of form (although he wasn't dropped just moved). At some point we are going to need another 10 and Cooper is the next option - being given only 5 off the bench vs both the ABs and Wales was very strange particularly when both games we already won (or lost) with 15 to go. I didn't get that at all, particularly when pretty much the whole bench had been emptied.

But past 10 I think the way it has been done is a big issue for both continuity of the team and introduction of newer players into the set up.

Your middle paragraph is spot on Gagger. Providing we just ignore Foley's form all season where he was playing at a level below Quade, except for the most recent games where Quade was given no opportunity to show how he could perform.

You see though that he still could have done that over the first three games then gone into the last two with his best team (which may have changed based on performances in those games).
Thought you were finished in this thread days ago? still going?

TK works well with Speight, that link with speight was missing when Kerevi was running 13. My issue is why Speight is on the left wing when over the last 4 years he has proven that he is a better right winger?, Naivalu should be at 11, Speight should be at 14 for 2 reasosn, one, he works well with his centre (13), and 2, he will be marking Virimi Vakatawa if he plays on the right wing and lets face it, Vakatawa will be too much for Naivalu to handle but Speight could as he played against him in last season's 7's circuit..I also agree, the weakest link is 12/13 but i rate Godwin as a 12 so lets hope he makes it work.. and australia needs TK there for 2 reasons, ONE, he is the only specialist 13 they have and 2, he is defensively the best in the backline. (ignoring his blunder last week, he has a solid 90-95% defensive percentage in every game)

If you regard like conditions as one having a bunch of blokes that haven't played (or barely trained together) vs one that has played the last three matches unchanged as 'like' conditions, then you are right.

Yep, some days they look like they don't know each others names

How good is it to see military/police brass bands at the footy to play the anthems?
Shove your piped music and latest reality TV talent quest star singing the anthems up your clacker.

Get the crowd singing with the Brass Band.

Terrible AUS scrum. 2nd row shoulders were higher than the front row's buttocks. Never going to get any power in that situation.

actually it always looked to me as though they were searching for a solution at 12, not 10

I don't think Foley was ever not the first choice 10 in the coaches minds, but he was asked to do job at 12 for the team, when that didn't work, he was straight back into the 10 slot
