How Kaino didn't make the Vikings side is just mind-boggling - I would go as far to say how he doesn't have a professional contract is mind-boggling. . .

Hopefully another NRC side picks him up or something. . . A guy like that shouldn't not be playing in the NRC - would take him over the OH Twins anyday. . .

I don't know, but some players excel in club rugby but aren't quite good enough to reach that next level...........

Dan Penca comes to mind.

Yea mate some guys just can't take the step up - others don't really get the chance to show their worth - hard for guys like Penca and Sok to really impact higher level rugby when their chances have been limited to say the least.

Unfortunately for Sok and Penca I think the chance has now gone for them to ever make a real step up - Sok must be in his early 30's? and Penca must be 29/30 by next season.

Kaino has been outstanding this year in Club Rugby so you would think the natural progression would be to move him into a higher-level and see what he can do.

Talking about Penca - he has played hooker on and off this season - I know its a very open ended/stretched question - but due to his size/ability - do people think if he had been a hooker from the get-go - could he of made it to higher honours?

He played Aus 19s as a Hooker.

Who do you prefer out of OJ Noa or Bruce Kaino?

Oh ok - wasn't aware he played 19's as a hooker - we were around the same age group growing up so have only ever saw him as a 7 and a bit at centre.

Haha good question mate - I'm honestly not sure - would like to see a back row with both Kaino and Oj - OJ at 6 - Kaino at 8

The Canberra Times has confirmed Coutts' suspension for 3 yeallow cards over the season. Royals' 7 Luke Kimba is in the same boat and is also ruled out. In another blow for Wests flanker Rob Valetini is sidelined due to the concussion rule.

I think Kimba only came on to replace Cussack when he was injured against Vikings so not a major loss for the Royals starting 15. Two key players out of the Wests pack makes an already difficult task a lot harder!

I guess that means that from now on if a player gets 2yellows during the early part of the season he will purposely cop another in order to get a clean slate and be right for the finals

I was thinking exactly the same thing. 5 mins to go - alright boys, we have Easts next week so anyone on a yellow or two feel free to linger in the ruck, clear the slate and have a freshen up before finals.

That is assuming that the slate is wiped clean after 3? Perhaps you miss a week for each and every yellow card after you have racked up 2?

Luke Kimba has been handy for Royals this year but I reckon Sam Carter will probably do a fair job filling his boots.

Ouch - sucks to be Wests hey.....
