July Internationals other than Wallabies & All Blacks

Enjoyed that MAB/Japan game. Maori boys looked like a team that assembled late and travelled to get there, but as game got going, looked to get their combos sorted. Be interesting to see what changes are made for Scotland next week. I guessing that Broughton will come into loosies, and Rona may get a run in centres with Sullivan to wing? All in all bloody good match to watch.

I heard they started assembling Monday with some of the Southern guys arriving Tuesday just in time for the team being named. Looks like they didn't get to Japan until late Wednesday or early Thursday as they'd only had one run when Eklund & Nock were on CGW Thursday night.

Yep WOB, would of been very surprised if MABs not involved in final on Saturday wern't there by Monday.

ffs the Boks, being the insufferable joyless dimwits that they are, decide to reduce a festive occasion like a BaaBaa's match to an opposed scrummaging practice for their pack. Scrum, maul, flop, try, rinse repeat.

Plus they spend half the match trying to pick fights with people.

Jesus, read the air.

Not the occasion for your roid raging.

ps lol had forgotten about the Bok commentators. They've gone pretty much full-blown village madness/cabin fever these days. The other team barely exists, just bit-part cameo fodder as training opposition for the heroic colossuses in green to rampage over. Glorious Nation!

How's the streaming going?
It's fahhhking not. grrrr. My kingdom for a full live replay on the youtubes later
Wonder how the Jocks will like the 96% humidity predicted for Whangarei this arvo? Only meant to be 18C so not exactly Suva-like but still gonna be sweaty in the bag region.
Lightweighhhhts. Wales vs Japan today in Fukuoka's 35 degree blazing sunshine and crushing humidity. "Real feel" of 43 degrees. Wales will wilt like leeks in a volcano.

Was laughing at rugby today, talking to a Scotsman, was explaining to me how it was really a Scotland B team as best players are in Australia with Lions. I did point out that best Maori All Blacks were in Dunedin with All Blacks, so they must be playing the Maori B team.

HT 19-7 Whales.

#LOLmess. Japan's 10-man Gaijin Invitational cohort have managed to drop every single ball. Mercenaries. Useless. Nothing more to keep them in the battle than a meagre wage which is just about enough to make them want to kill for you.... but not enough to make them want to die for you.

Whales are way better than I was expecting. Lost 67 games in a row? Their kick chase is top notch effort.

Fast Eddie scheduling this match at this time in this location is suspect as hell.....

"Coach, we could play this match in a less hot Japanese city......"
"Nahh, afternoon game in July, no roof, in scalding hot Fukuoka, the pasty Welsh will be dropping like flies. I need all the wins I can get, by any means necessary. Fuck growing the game in Japan, get me 10 big fucken gaijins on tourist visas, fuck the little Japanese blokes......"

ps Japan are still going to put 40 2nd half pts up and win this match going away

Wales make me really thankful to be a Wallabies fan
Sad to see a proud rugby nation fall so low. Some similar issues to Australia these days with domestic teams not doing well, money and opportunities on offer to Welsh players in other competitions/countries for a country already struggling for depth.

Edit: Also not to mention so many Welsh eligible players are often also eligible for one of the other British/Irish teams.
