July Internationals other than Wallabies & All Blacks

Wales get their first win in 19 tests, beating Japan 31-22.

Didn't get to watch it but was following along with a live blog and it was plenty closer then that score line might suggest - Wales went into the half 21-10 up but Japan came right back at them to have it at 24-22 with ~15 to go. It was a 74th minute try to Wales that secured the victory.

They'll be very relieved to have some clear air for whoever the permanent coach ends up being.

Geez Ireland got adventurous with their summer tour - Georgia and Portugal. The latter they won 106-0 last night.

Yet Italy tour South Africa, good on them,

My son is in Portugal at the moment, it's about 50 degrees every day. I'm sure it's just a summer break for the Irish players, it's like rocking up to Fiji in the middle of January and requesting a test match.

gotta love moving up 2 spots this weekend without playing
As I said on another thread, it's very Irish to be doing that. And Eddie's England famously went to #1 without ever playing the All Blacks. It's just the way the system works, if we manage to beat the Lions just once it will be justified.
