Kick it off with my boys.

Vern Cotter named a tight, experienced Scotland squad on the 10th May, with Mark Bennett being declared unavailable due to a decision to pursue Olympic Sevens. Since then Alex Dunbar, Tim Visser and Finn Russell have been ruled out through injury, and have been replaced by a Matt Scott returning from injury, the vastly experienced Sean Lamont, and new cap/Stormers Center Huw Jones, who was eligible for England, Wales and South Africa.

A little pissed off with the Ireland selections, those in bold should not be on the plane to SA. Four years till the next World Cup and these guys will be retired, let alone the next Lions tour they will be gone.

Sexton is a massive question mark, would have left him at home to give him some time off after the last couple of seasons. Has the ability to be around in 4 years if he manages his body. So I don't think he will be.

Eoin Reddan, seriously he is 35 years old and not the number one half back. What's the point?

Forgot to mention the Nations Cup, which is taking place instead of the Tbilisi Cup what with Georgia on tour.

Romania, Spain and Emerging Italy will take on the Argentine XV, Namibia and Uruguay. In 2 pools where nobody plays another opponent within the pool. Interesting format

9th June
Argentina XV v Spain
Uruguay v Emerging Italy
Namibia v Romania

13th June
Argentina XV v Emerging Italy
Namibia v Spain
Uruguay v Romania

18th June
Uruguay v Spain
Namibia v Emerging Italy
Argentina XV v Romania

all fixtures are to be played in Bucharest at the same stadium.

Actually happy with the changes, much rather see Gilroy and Healy given shot over the Kearneys. Really good chance to develop for the next World Cup so replacing RC, JS and even Fitz allows some younger guys a chance to claim a jersey.

Need to get some of these Tier 2 and Tier 3 games on Foxtel when there is no Super Rugby or Inbound Internationals on.

I'm lost for things to do this weekend, apart from club & school footy games. Nothing at night. Have to talk to the Bride. Maybe even have to take her out somewhere.

Slightly disappointing that the Scotland v Japan and Argentina v Italy/France at least aren't playing. That'd cover both the Super Rugby Nations and the Tier 1 Nations, having not checked, they shouldn't overlap with other games.

With the weather on the east coast this weekend some rugby would have been good and I wouldn't have gotten the look for not doing all the jobs around the house.

You can catch the Japan vs Scotland game on BBC Scotland at least. Since I live locally it's on at a decent time for me. It'll be a nice warm up for the South Africa vs Ireland tests on those weekends.
