I think only way he could meaningfully add something to the Wallabies is if a French side splurge (Racing 92 is probably losing Farrell at the end of this season?) and he gets whipped into union shape in the 70+ games he would play in 2 seasons over there. He would also be closer to his partner Mary Fowler. There is absolutely zero chance he would get the place kicking, attacking field cover and defensive position in the handful of games he would get in Super Rugby. Rugby Australia also would need to wave the Giteau law. I just don't see it happening.
Name wise he would be amazing for union tho, getting more big names in League switching codes (or just talking about union) is a win in my opinion.

Firstly, I think it’s extremely unlikely he’s even considering it. However, his technique would struggle against the time pressure of the charge down. Very elongated and I can see him hooking everything like he did on Wednesday.

Hes kicked at around 84% for his career so he'd be fine.
I don't see it happening. He'd need to want it over the money talking as he can make as much if not more in the NRL than any Rugby offer. When you add third party deals he'd be making close to 2m. You also have to consider he plays under his Dad which is pretty cool regardless of age.
We love to say global game and be a star, but he's with Adidas right. He's a big get for Adidas in Australia and the Pacific with RL but not if he was playing Rugby and your'e trying to sell him globally as a Rugby player. You fall into the bottom of the bucket of Soccer and Basketball players. Then Rugby players are fairly low value in this region for brands. He's likely to take a hit in endorsements coming over.
I think with a full season he'd be as good as any 10 we currently have.

Oh yeah dont get me wrong, he would be a stud in union. Really hope the Force and the Bears do some kinda shared player pool initiative. Don't think it is happening, but it would be cool.

Cleary I feel is a potential genuine hired gun for the RWC.
His NRL legacy is sealed, can’t take those premierships off him.
If he goes off to rugby even for 12 months and makes the Wallabies a RWC contender, that’s a story no one else in the modern game could match.

Let's be honest we would take pretty much anyone who played SOO for Super Rugby.
But from a Wallaby/RA perspective I'd focus my money on either players that are 24 and under or the absolute top echelon of superstars (not someone like Angus Crichton)

Unfortunately it feels like another moment we think others value the Wallabies and the the RWC as much as we do. I found it interesting and telling over the weekend listening to the radio between 2GB and MMM and how "why would you bother with that" and "who cares" it all is regarding Rugby.
It wasn't even said with a poo pooing of the sport and from ex players who are normally very down the middle compared to the journos who just bash Rugby. It was met with a why would a guy on a path to greatness in the sport and immortal chat want to do that.

He was good. Missed kicks skew the perception but he ran, passed and kicked well. The NRL is beating each other up this year. Panthers are 2 wins from 6th and you bet teams would be nervous if they sneak into the 8. They've just hit the tipping point of guys leaving this season. By mid next year all these young guys will have the runs in them and guess what, Penrith will be back in the top 4. 3 Rep standard players a year have left for 4 years. It's remarkable what they have built out there. Imagine taking Noah, Wright and Slipper from the Brums in 2023 then Hooper, AAA and Lonergan the next... It'd be over. Now double it.
