Trip out to death valley, and over recent years games against Parra have been true battles.
·4s, a score line that possibly didn't reflect the effort Parra put in, good tussle in the forwards and Manly created some great space out wide with some nice long flat balls allowing Gabe Hills to show some serious gas.
·3s, close win, it was try a piece with a number of early tries bombed. A game of frustrations with James Graham, and Ben Rubio both having good games.
·2s, last time the 2 teams fronted off Parra took the game 19 / 15. This one was 4 tries a piece but it should have been a game that was put away early and wasn’t (Death Valley)??? We were up late in the game with replacements made, and a draw at full time, a strong well balanced team list on paper but games aren’t won on paper – fun attacking rugby will see some great results this year.
·1s, try fest. You’d look at the score sheet and say poor defence - ?? not sure ?? – Parra played to their strengths being set piece and a huge forward pack, and our backs put points on the board through set moves, or great counter attack off loose ball. It raced out to 40 – 8 at oranges. With that sort of score line, a break, and a Parra team wanting to make a point it was a different second half. We converted our opportunities but allowed more. It was a good test against a much larger pack, and some points can definitely be taken away. Laney had an awesome game with great control of ball and backline, and Dennis again proved very hard to control.

4's great to watching a game for all ages and sizes. We jumped out to 17 - 0 through some nice tries and then decided to play rugby through the forwards and the chalk when uncrossed for about 20 minutes.
Then like someone said we need to start using the backs; when the backs started using the ball, the out side backs sizzled and scored some great tries with the final score ballooning out to of 58 - 0. Bergo, with try assists and meat pies and Gabe Hills had strong games.

3's
We scored first through a great rolling maul line out, then 3 leaked opportunity tries had us down 19 - 7 in a flash. Boys went back to game plan and played safe solid rugby and we retained the lead going into half time 21 - 19. 2nd half followed with some good rugby, and the 4th grade replacements (including James Gourley) didn't miss a beat 54 - 26 Full Time. Manny and the young Rohan Hedge had good games

2's
Safe basic first half, last year first choice was meat pies - it was 9 nil after 15 and 3 penalty kids, and then tries to Bradley & Relli out wide. The second half was a little different - 15 minutes camped in our own half and being starved of ball, and Gordon cross for 2 tries and are back in the game at 21 - 12. Then for his 3rd game of the day James Gourley cross for a try and its converted, final score 28 - 19. Mitch Daniels had a great game, Dane Le Rougetel had a great debut in 2's, and James Gourley stepped up as well coming on half way through the first half.

1's
With the bonus point in the bag before the break, hat trick of tries to Turner, and a double to Donlan it is 33 - 0, a half that involved some great rugby.
Gordon's D improves in the 2nd stanza, and we seemed to kick the pill a bit more (to much), we take it to 45 - 0 and it's 15 to go (could it have been 50+ with ball in hand). Some changes are made, and Gordon cross for 3 tries in the last 15.

Last minute recovery had Vance Elliot having a huge game getting through a mountain of work. Good having BJ back at the back and the back 3 started to working off each other.

It was a good day out there - you guys will scare a few this year. WTF happened against Wests - lucky we cant place bets on the SS.

Forwards played well , won a couple of tight heads and plenty of line outs.

backs, yeah well.......... As mum says if you can't say anything nice.....

Wasnt able to make 3's & 4's this week.

2's
It was down 27 - 8 at the break, but the game was allot closer on the park.
First 3 rounds I was concerned about the last 20 and letting games slip.
This week was great to watch, the boys lifted each other and kept lifting - great to watch from the side line. Vance Elliot had another huge game, as did James Graham. Then the reserves who came on towards the end (a number of them in 4s last week) really stood up.

1's
Game was closer than the score, but the sheer weight of the uni tight 5 finally showed. Our backs are sharp and as the combos now start building we should see some great tries.

Wicks have been building over the past years with some young players coming through, and we were heading across the bridge with a First grade on the pine with injuries.
3s and 4's could have gone either way
2's was close for a while but combinations, with a number of players who started the year in 4's having to step up (well done to those lads). Stand out was Sam Blanchet who really caught the eye.
1's Great game for rugby, of rugby - not often in these times do you see the starting 15 play the full 80 and then some to take the chocolates after the bell. Great composure at the end, with the front rowers hanging out wide and showing their ball skills to put Yaz over in the corner.

4's tight tough game all the way, and final score reflected it , and the bonus point 27 - 22 was a great win. Stand out from Manly was the # 7 - he was everywhere, all I have at present is a colt that's come back. I now have his name Sione Taofi - cracking game

3's was going to be a tough game, up against the undefeated Woods 3's, 1 – 15 had great games. The front row scrimmaged well, Dane showed great mobility, and the backs scored one of the tries of the season to date from 50 out with some great hands sending the wing over.

2's rather close game that woods lost (we didn't win) because they couldn't kick 2 goals at the end. Again played some time with a handy cap - down to 13 men and the boys stood up and stayed in the game. Stand out again was Sam Blanchet he's going to be lifting the form of the # 6.

1's Allot already said about this game in the main thread. The old saying some teams get the bounce of the ball, and win a close one, well Woods got the good grass with the ref and got up - it should have been a one point game. Great D with the 10 minutes before oranges, benchmark has been set there.

Thought our best was Adrian Hall, Cecil got through a mountain of work, and Sam Lane also had another strong game.

So, this Fabian Natoli fella is a racist grub...,.

Further investigation into his social media had found a number of highly derogatory posts aimed at Aboriginals.

Hope this works, but not the best with IT.

I'm not going to alienate a young 22 year old that i do not know personally from behind a key board.

I'd much rather share the following.

It wasn't a one off......... he's put up multiple vile racist posts on his Instagram account.............

Inexcusable.

Manly would be thankful that he is no longer around.

#1. Realise that.
#2. Agree.
#3. That can be viewed in many many ways. Foe me;
I don't like racists, and in no way do I condone any of his posts (as you said vile). BUT I'm all for the underdog, hard work, commitment, improvement. If someone makes a mistake, does something stupid, but they learn and become an even better person because as its result - great outcome.
There are many many very successful people out there in various walks of life, part of there success may have been learning the hard way from mistakes and stupidity, and that could set them apart.

Nough said, history, we learn from history every passing second.
