Ili is the other on that list I'd want in the squad. You always need depth through the midfield and he's more than adequate.

I was real pleased to read about Maunder heading to Rebels, mainly because not only strengthen Rebels, but kind of backs what I say, Aus teams don't need NZ players, there are plenty around world to chase.

Interesting to see Ekauasi lining up for Auckland in the NPC. No doubt contracted to play for them well in advance, but means that this year won't count towards any residency IIRC.

Rebels should be able to turn close losses into wins next year,
Having a very good front row with Gibbon, Uelese/Mafi for hooker and three good tightwads in Tupou, Talakai and Pone.
Backrow will be strong with LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Wilkin, Leota, Kemeny as well with having the wallabies 10 & 15.
Still will need more depth at lock and centre and a top quality halfback
