Play kicks off, Vikings win penalty at first breakdown and take play to deep inside their Rams 22m. Lineout, Rams win penalty. Lineout 10m in Rams half. Knock on, first scrum.

V win put in, loose pass intercepted by Rams, penalty to Rams at the ruck. Ball not out, V bash the ball up to halfway.

V hold ball just inside Rams 22, bit of juggling and a try 10m to the left of the posts. 0-5 at 6:50.

Kick receipt off buggered up by V, penalty to Rams. Lineout just inside V 22m. Ball up, scrum to V 3m inside their 22.

Penalty to V for not rolling away, lineout 10m out from V goal line. Ball thrown too far, V get out of gaol. Play wanders back in to Rams half. Play goes to and fro, lineout 13m in Rams half.

Nice break up the right side by Rams, good offloading but a wide pass from Mason to an unmarked winger goes astray. Lineout 12m out from V goal line. Rams look a much better side with Holloway and Mason starting.

Rams win shunt at the scrum, and a penalty. Good lineout, Rams press line but held out. Mason puts in a lovely kick pass to Dunbar on the right wing, try. 5-7 after 18:00.

Kick off and kick back from the Rams. Penalty to V for a deliberate knock down. Lineout 10m out from Rams line. Messy lineout, V pass the ball to the touchie. Good lineout by the Rams, ball kicked up to near half way. Not out, messy inconclusive breakdown but V hold the ball.

V attack all over the place, Dunbar intercepts on the right wing, takes off and offloads to Holloway in the tackle who offloads to Spice. Nice try. 12-7 after 23:50.

Rams now making easy metres next to the breakdown with some nice offloading. Win penalty 9m in V half straight in front. Mason opts for kick at goal. JUST clears the cross bar. 15-7 after 25 mins.

Good kickoff by the V, hold play deep in Rams half, V winger over on their right side. Ref checking, no try. V scrum 5m out.

That should've been Rams scrum for dropped ball. Rams clear to their 10m line. Pinch lineout, good defence by V holds Rams in their half, play stops for serious looking injury to V 7.

Scrum, then lineout, Rams hold the ball until it was pinched by the V, lovely running and a try under the posts by Cusack. Didn't see him go back on. 15-12 after 33:20.

Holloway pinches kickoff on their right side, Rams move the ball to their left but Gillespie loses the ball 10m in V half. A nice pass and Johnston scores under the posts. 15-21 with 3 mins to go in the first half.
