It doesn't happen often at View, but this side is that good. Largely without plaudits, from the "neutrals" here anyway, I might add, given they are the only side in the comp without the music scholarships and have done it with a completely naturally occurring student populace.

This isn’t true. Just cause students fit the GPS mould does not mean they are all full paying fee students….. go ask the View bursar how many 1st and 2nd XV players are on a bursary. The number will surprise you.

The View boys play for each other, and have played together for years through primary school and high school, regardless of bursaries, they didn't have to bring anyone in to help them win this premiership, they developed the talent themselves.

You can say all you want, but as has been said View went out and won the premiership outright, with a game to spare, with homegrown talent, and have made a mark as a team who play for each other, and deservingly reaped the benefits of that being sowed.

Here for the advice

Well done to Riverview. Amazing game more heart and that was shown by their flanker who scored Shore’s outside backs to score - he wanted it more and is a great player. Good luck to their 3rd’s as they hope to secure the title and extend their run. Through the ages this group has dominated so it showed a core team who played for each other can triumph. Let’s see if they can top it of with toppling SJC.

1000% they have all been there from my understanding since year 7 and even prior and have developed a amazing hard working team which are clearly a head above the rest of the comp and the school should be exceptionally proud of the way they have developed these boys from year 7 all the way through.

But my reply was to someone stating they had no bursaries which isn’t true.

- I will rest my case as joker has stated it is dangerousness territory, I was just attempting to reply to a individual who made a factually incorrect statement and attempted to attack other schools at the same time.

Could do without the verbal. No music scholarships in that side was what I said. Riverview don't award bursaries based on sporting talent. In fact even a coincidental sporting talent is also a no-no in practice. And that's a fact.

Good to see The Galtitude up there considering he played barely a half.

Thought Clout (E) played a brilliant game too.

Didn’t see Taumoepeau’s game but it must have been Pope’s magic if he is beating Folkes to player of round.

SGS in 2012 - their last year in the First XV comp

Only Shore has been winless in the ten game home and away format - previously in 2013 and 2015
I think its very harsh to join this years Shore team into this category. There was a few games that could have gone either way by just a bounce of the ball or a kick. Lets not forget they were Premiers last year. The winner is GPS rugby and having Shore back and competing at the top level is what has preserved our GPS Rugby Comp and stopped the calls from the not-worthy CAS / IAS schools calling for a 'super' comp.

Yes, but they haven't been able to put together consistent good (or even competitive) seasons yet

2021 looked good until covid, 2022 2nd place in gps, 2023 5th place - 4 gps 1st xv reps, 2024 outright premiers. Relatively consistent until this year
