Mr. K,

Key Takeaways from the Kings vs Newington Game (K38–N33)

Kings:

  • Risati (#12) – A standout in the Kings' backline, delivering moments of brilliance that shifted the game's momentum. He looks very comfortable in the #12 jersey and will be exciting to watch this season.
  • The team’s overall endurance was a major highlight and contributed significantly to their win. While Kings appear to be lacking in size, the return of key players Founa and Smith should help relieve some pressure on the forward pack.

Newington:

  • Already acknowledged, but worth repeating: Heamasi (#11) needs to be utilised more. In the few opportunities he had with the ball, he consistently gained metres or scored tries. He might be more effectively used in the centres or in crash ball plays.
  • #14 showed great speed and agility, looking dangerous every time he touched the ball. It’s been said he won the GPS 100m – can someone please confirm this?
Roberts-Lintmeijer won the opens 100m at GPS so may be him

yep - High actually led for the whole game. When the main squad were on, High look pretty bloody sharp in the backs with some hard straight running fed by a pretty good half back. their game lost shape a bit when they apparently ran on a lot of their 2nds. ( as that game was washed out).
Shore are a brand new team as the higher grades released all their reserves pushing 11 boys from the 3rds into the 4ths so they need some time to gel.

The equivalent High firsts, shore 4ths game last year was a blow out so High look to be a lot more competitive this year. injuries permitting.
High rugby on the rise! next week's TAS fixture will be interesting.

Mudgeemudcrab here,

Any update on the big fella isaiah sheck for newington, he is one of the best players in this years slick Newington side would be a shame to see the big fella sidelined.

Did anyone watch the game? any stand out players ?
Thanks Electoro, Funny guy here
My younger cousin goes to scots and provided some insight. I believe Number 4 smart had a solid game with some breaks and solid tackles. As well as the front row remaining reasonably solid with Mackenzie providing his talents. However there a lot of injurys at the moment for Scots, but hopefully this can change, so there side can be somewhat competitive as round 1 rolls around.

SHORE 1ST XV 2024 AAGPS PREMIERS

After much anticipation the 2024 premiers have finally released a video. The ending is pure bliss.
Better late than never! Not a bad highlight at all, great to see lots of the clips include boys who are continuing this year. I think this week for shore at Allianz stadium will be a big test against Barker, the boys in blue and white will be hungrier than ever to get a result considering the past few trial matches. I'm keen for the game and I'm sure the boys are too.
