I think dropping Robertson is the best option in the end, as I agree anyone else would really screw the order of the backline. Just the standard he has been playing recently makes initially hard to entail. However this is potentially a good sign, as having a high standards and tight competition in selection points to depth.

Unfortunately, he’s been hard done by here. I think at the moment he’s playing one of the best in Shores struggling backline. Whilst he’s quite a small centre, i didn’t see him miss a tackle on the weekend and proved the week before that he is a tackling machine. Would be interesting to see how Shore goes without his defensive dominance this week.

The controversy lies around the kick offs aswell. But i mean every school does it and I believe it adds excitement and fun to the game and the crowd as it draws greater pressure from the crowds.

I think with the kickoffs, it is completely fine to chant while the kicker is in action. Adds to the suspense and culture of the game and shows the passion from the boys in the crowd.

Agreed, he's definitely one of the best defensive players on their team, and hopefully Wendt can continue on with this. Very controversial all this movement...

I've been reading this forum for quite a while now but have only just made an account to get amongst things.
I was just curious as to where we draw the line about negative chants/booing in the gps competition. By this i mean if it is unacceptable to shout during kicks for goal ( which i am not defending), is shouting during a line out also a no go or play on?

Hi larry, i am assuming this was directed towards the Newington crowd. I was sitting in the stand as a joeys supporter and witnessed the shouting first hand, yet this is besides the point. although i believe the shouting towards the kicker was very cowardly and unsportsmanlike i would also like to pose the argument that if the joeys kicker had made these relatively easy kicks no one would be complaining about the booing, i am not supporting this behaviour and it pains me to say that i do not believe the shouting affected the kicker as much as everyone is claiming. To all the joeys boys please do not come attacking me, for this is my opinion whether you agree or disagree.

As someone who was born in '72 and has been following the game for decades, I can confidently say that the talent and spirit in our boys are unmatched. The dedication and hard work put in by the lads this season are evident, and it’s shaping up to be a remarkable year for the team.

Every Saturday, watching our boys take the field is like a blast from the past, reminiscent of the glory days when footy was all about grit, determination, and a touch of flair. The camaraderie among the players is something special, and you can see the pride they take in wearing the St. Aloysius colors. The training sessions are intense, and the boys have been sharpening their skills, both on and off the field, making sure they’re ready to take on any challenge thrown their way.

Heard Galtitude only ended up with a supposed bad sprain, hopefully he’s up galloping in a few weeks. Sherrington possibly only out for a few weeks?? Will have to double check on that.

Yes definitely, they dominated shore in a friendly and I believe would put up a fight against teams of barker’s underwhelming standards - joeys, newington and kings.
