3rd XV Round 4 Preview
After a decent holiday break we resume with round 4 of the 3rd XV competition. With four rounds to go, the premiership is still wide open. There are three undefeated teams (Kings, Joeys & Riverview) and two of them meet this round when Riverview host Kings. It will be match of the round and the victor will be one step closer to claiming the Col Windon Shield in 2025. Grammar host Joeys and Shore host Scots in the remaining matches. TAS previously held their round 4 clash against High and TAS were victorious (22-3) so both teams have this week off.

Riverview 3rd XV v Kings 3rd XV (1:00pm on Riverview #1)
Match of the round as two undefeated teams meet at Lane Cove. Riverview will relish the home field advantage and are likely to have a large crowd for the match. They have previously beaten High, Grammar and TAS whereas Kings have beaten High, Grammar and Scots. There is really not much in this match at all, but I am going to tip Riverview at home to remain undefeated in what promises to be a very close contest. I will definitely be strolling down Tambourine Bay Rd to watch this one.
Riverview by 3.

Grammar 1st XV v Joeys 3rd XV (11:00am on Weigall #1)
With Joeys still undefeated and Grammar yet to win a match, this is likely to be a very one-sided affair at Weigall. Normally a trip to Rushcutters Bay is a significant challenge for the Cerise & Blue with a few close losses in recent years, but it’s hard to see this match going any way except a Joeys win after Joeys won the trial match by a big margin and demolished Shore last round.
Joeys by 30.

Shore 3rd XV v Scots 3rd XV (1:00pm on Northbridge A)
Shore are coming off the back of a big loss to Joeys in round 3 and are struggling to stay in touch with the competition leaders, but they are not completely out of it just yet. Scots had their first win last round against High and will want to continue that momentum. I like their chances in this match up, even though they are playing away at Northbridge. The loser will definitely be done for the season and the winner will remain in the premiership chase (at long odds) so it's a crucial match for both teams.
Scots by 5.

Good luck to all players for round 4 of the competition.

Is Lemoto eligible to play this weekend? Assume so as only received a yellow in last game for knocking out Kings 10. As this quickly followed the Joeys winger being knocked out with no sanction the AAGPS is getting into dangerous territory.
Perhaps inappropriate for this thread but there is precedent in Europe and North America where parents of injured children have pursued individuals, clubs/schools, and sporting bodies for inadequate disciplinary action.
