Barker would probably take the early lead and by halftime they would be up 15-5. But knowing the way that team plays, the second View get another try and a penalty, the Barker Boys will crumble and they will reduce down to the mindless aggression and disrespect they are known for. They will start getting nervous and fold under pressure, like a nervous schoolboy giving his first speech. So you think SIC would beat Barker? Absolutely not.
Although, there seconds are not terrible. I believe they are coming 3rd or 4th?My take is that New has a small contingent of very strong players, but lacks the same depth as some of the other sides. It's an issue they have through the younger age groups too. If you lack depth in your 2nd XV or substitutes, then when you see key players injured, there is a much larger skill gap between those who are injured and those replacing them.
I miss the 1970's where people had thicker skins and laugh at one's selfYeah, it’s fun and can think you’re funny but you can also go beyond the line and just be a tool..

Been waiting for the reveal
Very disappointing for the kings boys yesterday. 2s had the game in the bag losing on the bell.
l dont know what has happened to the kings 1st xv. it is evident they are lacking something. i think that is ben sawyer watching previous games he has was in unreal form, done his job and lead the boys around the park also having great composure for a young kid with the ability to set up something from nothing. turns out sitting on the side lines for a almost 2 years through injury is has proven to be the best thing for him, as every time he comes back he is better then he was before and he is WHAT THERE MISSING. he's the complete opposite of a confidence player, like smith and risati.
kings 2 struggles with line outs yesterday. the 10 will taylor is going to have a blinder next yr he's playing great footy at the moment, him and sawyer worked together greatly in the first few games. 9 wilson is a consisten reliable player and i think he's work goes under the rader. the 2 was
The list is a great effort by a great contributor who compiles it in a short timeframe. Produce your own list if you don’t like it.The list is garbage. The author was likely suffering from a major dose of "my team lost again today" at the time and couldn't bring themselves to be objective about the team that wrought the damage. The 2nd row selections are the most humourous for me personally given the lineout woes of their respective teams yesterday.
You are right though, Dempsey, Folkes, Plamondon, Spora, Reich all players of the round in their positions by any objective measure.
Thank you for producing these, great job.Tables - updated
[Only caveat is the 16As where no result was reported for the Round 8 game between View and Scots (therefore counted as 0-0 draw). If View won this, they are outright premiers - if they lost, then they would share the premiership with Joeys if Joeys win on Saturday.]
15As and 13As premierships will be decided this Saturday.

Defence won it for View this year, dominating Kings in both games. Kings have a magnificent forward pack but look a little one dimensional. Really need some talent development in their backs in game management and kicking. Plenty of ticker from the likes of Farrah but little genuine threat from the backs given the dominance and front foot ball from the forwards. Would have been entertaining to see Sawyer and Risati play a full season together but shit happens. Been a great season.Only Positive is lots of boys will be returning next year in key Positins from 1s and 2s
