NSW AAGPS 2025

@Rudderless I was viewing the TKS game on Saturday and seem to have forgotten the dark art of the different form of Kings blazers.

If a cursory explanation could be provided (or by anyone else on the forum) that would be greatly appreciated.

I understand baby blue is premiership? But don't the boys also get their cadet unit ranks on their grey/red one?

After just one round, I’d say the selectors are already tossing around ideas for the GPS 1st XV—and I thought I’d have a crack at it too. I’ve left out anyone currently signed to league contracts, as they’re unlikely to play or may opt out, like Rodwell and Humphries from N last year.

2. Smith (K)
3. Bloomfield (K)
4. Fonua (K)
5. Galligan (E)

8. Lemoto (S)

10. ???
11. Hart (J)
12. Gough (J)
13. Francis (E) or O'connor (J)
14. ???
15. Callaghan (E) (if back in time) or Grantham (N). He did say no last year I believe.

Help me fill it out gents.
Open side flanker Ashton Thomas (N) had a blinder on the weekend

Great question. I’ll give it my best shot (my son finished in 23 and is now interstate for work/rugby)

Yes Cadet rank is indeed displayed on the Right sleeve at shoulder height of their Red/Grey Coat (which also makes up part of the Cadet uniform).

The Red badge found on both left and right collars on the Red/Grey Coat is replaced with a Dark Blue badge for Prefects. (badge is not the correct term but you get what I’m saying)

With Colours and Honours, it’s best explained from the Kings website …

Colours and Honours Coats

  • Students awarded Colours are able to purchase a Stripe Butchers Coat, which then has a special navy pocket attached with the students award embroidered. The Butchers Coat can be worn at any official TKS or GPS events, Saturdays and official sporting occasions.
  • Students awarded Honours are able to have a tailor made King's Sky Blue Coat made with a matching pocket embroidered with the students award. The wearing of this coat is the same as the Butchers Coat.
