Why Scots?? They came from behind to beat Shore with a penalty goal in the last seconds of the game. Shore was still missing key players and played winning but not perfect game in my eyes. Considering the game styles I have seen witnessed from New and SJC I cannot see Scots getting up over either team, let alone twice.

In terms of my predictions, I think it is too tight of a season to make any predictions yet, with round 1 and 2 having little value in determining consistency.

Twister.
Well Said.

Completely agree, too hard to tell who's a favourite at the moment. Looking like another year where it could go down to the wire, just like last year. Always better when it's a close competition, I think we can all agree.

I think you need to go to English.

Don't spread the cancer into hear from the now nuked CAS thread. This one has been suspended before, and a lot of people enjoy talking about the footy.
This reaction was a bit hostile. I genuinely think that Newington has put themselves in a position where winning looks likely. If you claim people here want to chat footy, why don't you respond to my comment (that prompted a chat about footy) in such a manner? Seems like you are doing a little too much here, just relax.

Agreed. Last year shore were 1 win and 2 losses after round three and really turned it around. We could see a simalar occurence this year with the likes of kings or view. Will be intresting to see how it unfolds, But at this point no team is out of the running...

The return of the prince. After a lengthy ban, I would like to my announcement back to the forum.

Anyone have a Grammar form guide going into this season, and a potential team list this weekend.

I'm kicking my feet in the air!!!!!!!
Welcome back mate! Team lists coming in after Thursday's training but my youngest brother is a Grammar boy so I'll update the forum as soon as I can with the predicted team.

Shores Galligan, who i believe was playing a very impressive brand of footy, is set to be sidelined for a while. Joeys Taumoepeau had the joeys boys sweating, as he went down against Newington, fortunately he was able to finish the match. Also heard Talen Risati from Kings is out. This is all I am aware of, but from what I have heard that there are many more.
It seems the more strength training the players do, they more fearsome the injuries.

After a look at the teams depth and further into players and history, I completely agree with this opinion on Scots. Although I do still back newington to have a chance.
thanks for the insight twister

Any Newington team lists and is the new lock back from suspension.
No suspensions for any New players.

The school doesn't release team lists like they did last year so can't confirm who will be selected unfortunately

Only injury concern is the captain and No.8 Dylan Simmons. Popped his rib cartilage in 2nd half vs joeys. I expect he will play

Have heard that starting props Scheck and Viliamu may be due back this week too.

fair enough twister I can see your points here. I also agree it is a bit early for predictions.

Definitely Shore with the Galtitude out for what could be 8 weeks.
Tough for the lad on the back of what I understand was rowing injuries that impacted the HOTR preparations- and now an ankle not great for him. BUT has to focus on getting healthy vs rushing l back as it’s important to walk and run post school!! Yes we all love GPS rugby but sports careers can continue. Shore lost its captain if I am right a few years back and I hear he is playing colts / club rugby now so there are similar hard luck stories.

Very True, Lachie Thorpe (E) SHORE rugby captain '22 was injured in round 1. Didn't play again that season, but back playing now.

Galligan definitely does not want to rush back after this injury and reaggravate it.
