What's another name....we already have 57.Just remember everyone......two rounds.....a lot can happen. At the midway point last year @Joker was already in an uber with the shield on the way to the engraver at Westfields Chatswood to put Joeys name on there.........
Everytime I see that image Joker, I'm always amazed at seeing Grammar up there. Obviously from times long ago, but it's intriguing to see.

This will be controversial but do the Shore team get enough value out of Sidwell compared to the likes of Frape and Shadfort?Green, Baxter are the 2 I have thought about primarily.
But what I was referring to was some speculation of movement in the 1s bench, 2s and 3s that I think (if true) are not going to help Shore. This includes some 1XV standard players put down in the 3s, without much impact on the 1s players that I think belong in the 3rds or 16As.

Looking forward to another prem for the boys from the northbridge this year
You can normally see all the premierships on the aagps site, ( www.aagps.gojaro.com ) although it hasn’t really been working recently as currently showing the 2023 results And can’t see what the 3rd XV comp even looks like this year Can also see when Grammar was last a power house in nearly all sports, but it is a long time ago now. SHS are killing it in GPS volleyball and TAS has had reasonable success in shooting.Love that table Joker regards premiership winners. Do you have the following 100 years? If yes please post.
What a Champion Joker,Much so.
The greatest Joe Boy athlete is Jim McCann
A Manly lad who almost ended up at Waverley!
Thank goodness his mother had the final say.
He won premierships in the following
Rugby. 1955, 1956, 1957 (GPS 1st XV in all those years as well)
Athletics 1955, 1956, 1957 (two schoolboy WORLD records that still stand to this day. Long jump and 4 x 100yrd relay)
Cricket 1955
A once in a lifetime athlete but as well a wonderful, humble fella.

1957 AAGPS Carnival against the great Don Bursill from Scots in the 220yrd.
Here is a report from 1957 of this race.
Jim McCann, the star of St Joseph's College, again stamped himself as the greatest schoolboy athlete in Australia's history. Last year he won four events (counting the relay) and set a record in each; this year he won five events and bettered three of the records. It was an amazing performance: a feat of endurance and ability that no schoolboy had ever done before, and one that it is hard to imagine happening again.
He started his epochal day with the 220 yards event. This was to be a titanic struggle with Don Bursill (S) who had been running outstanding times for this distance. The race was run into the teeth of the strong westerly. Jim hit the lead early, but against the strong wind the strong-running Don Bursill started to overhaul Jim in the final fifty yards. By sheer strength Jim managed to hold him off and break the tape about 1 yards ahead. The time of 21.8 was magnificent considering the adverse conditions.
Fin Baxter (SHORE) as well. Didn't play in a GPS team at all in his time at SHORE despite being the captain of rugby.Congrats to all the old boys who beat the Argies to go undefeated in the U20 Rugby Championship.

How about these apples.A sobering fact...
Sydney Grammar School still has the most International Captains, Wallaby Captains and strongest all-time First XV out of all Australian schools. Not Joeys.
SGS way more greats than SJC, true rugby historians know...
Sydney Grammar All-time 1st XV:
-9 SGS International Captains (7 Wallaby Captains, 1 England, 1 Scotland) vs 3 Joeys International Captains (3 Wallaby Captains)
-100m sprint Olympian Wallaby (!) on Wing (Slip Carr)
-rest all Wallabies (31 total)
-Has Col Windon, Alex Ross, Johnnie Wallace, Alfred Walker and so much more
