10 + years off attending kings rugby days, today would be the strangest.

from watch the junior teams on the white top the opens performance.

13As Kings won 26-5
14As Kings won 63-0 (maybe view scored one cannot rember)
15As Kings won 24-7
16As view won 19-7

These games were all different in their own remark, 13As was honestly the most stop start game I’ve ever watched 3 red cards which would barely be penalty’s from both kings and view.

14As was complete dominance, strange as the week before they blew a 21-0 lead.

15As were solid, would of expected a bigger scoreline. View did outstanding to stay in the game for periods of time.

16As was a hard watch, view just wanted the game more. Didn’t get to see the ball move past the 12 much from kings. View 10 was outstanding.

How about that Scots ref. Advantage calls went on for so long that they could have built another castle in that time. Knock ons? Forward passes? Might as well have been optional. I wouldn’t trust him with the 13Es!
advantages must have been very long given how long that castle took. Perhaps the ref was expensive like the castle as well. over at Hunters Hill the 1 point margin summed the game up well, Newington are the team to beat now. I don’t know if they’ll have the consistency week to week though. Joeys tight 5 is the weak link in their arsenal. J Minto is a freak, a big statement but i think the best at his age i’ve seen in over 40 years watching Joeys. worth noting though that in 13, 14, 15, 16 a’s and 2’s the margin favoured Joeys about a gazillion points. not sure why New struggle with depth.

I'll take the wins in the juniors regardless. Don't see many when we play View and Joeys

I haven’t had time to watch anything but the last controversial penalty, so can’t speak to the refs overall performance.

View from the neutral: the last Scot’s penalty was totally legit. Shore forward playing silly buggers with his legs and the ball on the ground as the Scots half was trying to play the ball from the ruck. Advantage was played and it looked a correct ruling in isolation.

Joeys v New (A’s) Margins
13s - Joeys + 80 (unsure)
14s - Joeys + 48
15s - Joeys + 87
16s - Joeys + 17
2s - Joeys + 19
1s - New +1

Absolutely appalled. The culture of New rugby at the moment is horrendous. I think everyone can agree that it’s unfair to all the New boys who have a dream of playing firsts one day, and then New bring in hundreds of thousands dollars worth of players in opens. Maybe they should consider investing more in junior development. @Joker would agree, we did have a chat about this.

I’d greatly appreciate if someone could do the numbers on Shore vs Scots penalties
Not even attempting an exaggeration here but it might have been +20 in favour of Scots. Referees are important to the game but what we saw at the Death Star today was nothing short of disgusting. The passion that was shown by the Shore crowd was unbelievable. You boys didn’t deserve that. Hopefully he doesn’t get another gig anytime soon

An unbelievable win and one of the historic days in schoolboy rugby for Newington College, although I’m afraid it’s been overshadowed by the school’s rotten behaviour. In all my years affiliated with the College (ON1978), I have never seen such unsportsmanlike conduct when the Joeys #10 was being vehemently booed during a conversion attempt late in the 1st half.

Not sure if anyone else was there - but for me it’s completely unacceptable. And, with the final score being 40-39, it could hold serious ramifications for the season’s trajectory with Newington gaining momentum…

PS - does anyone have tabs on the Joeys #15? Was easily the best on field despite being on the losing team, and have heard rumours he’s in Year 10

Regards,
Loosehead.
