Inside Shoulder

The third sentence would have their English teacher cringing, and it is a rather sad indictment on editorial standards in community journalism.

I'll leave any comment on how the general tone of the "letter to the editor" reflects prevailing Eastern Suburbs attitudes to those more closely associated with that area.

Perhaps @Inside Shoulder may know some residents from there.
Cyclo summed it up, although I'm wondering if voice recognition software was used because I reckon both hands may have been otherwise occupied.
I think the editor knew what he/she was doing - even to the point of leaving "The Kings College": a John Laws like deliberate mistake so that one would assume he was a casual passer by who happened to find a parking spot within walking distance that didn't block one of the drive ways of the local residents action group members?
Still, the game in the east needs all the promotion it can get!

You may've been a bit harsh there, IS, Scots would/should pound King's College Auckland's 6th XV by 50 points.

I heard that Kings 2nd XV has a friendly match organised against Epping Boys HS 1st XV near the end of the holidays sometime - possibly the last Friday of the hols. The Epping coach is keen to give the boys some decent competition in preparation for their Waratah Cup / Shield (not sure which one they're in) games next term.

Shore had a week in NZ and are back.
Scots play Cranbrook on July 12th, 2.15pm at Scots, according to the Cranbrook website.
That's I know of.

The boys who are playing in u18 nationals are getting plenty of rugby but how smart are those couple of schools having an actual match during the holidays Scots & Newington of course-they think smart these days whatever the criticism!

Yes certainly a few dings coming out of Aussie school championships

And could have a bearing on season restart

Be interested to see how a fresh joeys lines up against a battered view contingent

Although maybe joeys might also be impacted ... Is that wingti injured?

Trinity and Newington will contest the AJ Rae Shield (in Rugby and Soccer) on 12 July - understood to be at Newington.

Anyone going along to the Battle of Bellevue Hill or the AJ Rae Shield that is prepared to do a match report for the blog?

Both Newington and Scots have traditionally had these matches occur.

Thats interesting I didn't know it was traditional for Newington and Scots to have those games-good on them.To be clear .I think it is a good idea to have one game during a three week break for holidays especially when the Comp is in full swing with comp games already played but then I also think that the Schools should extend the training season and allow the rugby coaches to go to work early in the New Year with those boys in a squad who would prefer to train and specialise for Senior rugby rather than have do another sport compulsorily in Summer.

To be honest I think it would just let down the summer sports that need big squads and depth to perform at a winning or competitive level. Also, I'm sure most boys love a change of routine from the norm and would love to compete in cricket or rowing to name a few. amirite?
