I have absolutely no idea about the thirds comp this year. Grammar is clearly very competitive, although those injuries are a real issue. I just feel sad for the boys. TAS lost 13-10 to Kinross but won 33-0 against High, so they look competitive. Can't tip between TAS and and an injury weakened Grammar.
The Joeys v Grammar video - my thanks, I really enjoyed it - suggests Joeys will be strong. Again, I was struck by the difference in size between the firsts and the thirds. That, of course is why we have the thirds.
On a different matter, TAS cricket and soccer teams have continued to do well, but we are stuggling a little in the netball (!) because of small numbers. The first intake of girls has been a considerable success, although there is continuing angst amongst some of the Old Boys about the changes.
I hope that you will forgive me, I know that it's off topic although it interests me, but nearly all the first intake of girls had existing connections with the school. Some had been there in primary school (that's been coed for a while), in other cases TAS Old Boys took the opportunity to send their girls to their old school, in others brothers were or had been at TAS. Interesting, too, watching the girls settling into previous male domains such as cadets.
Back to the rugby.
