As we edge deceptively closer and closer to footy season, I thought I would include some of my favourite posts over the years. Further, I think it would be necessary to revise some of the highlights of the previous CAS, particularly Barker's overwhelmingly success.

The 2025 CAS season in Sydney wasn’t simply yet another 1st XV campaign. Behind the familiar five-round round-robin of the six CAS schools lay a structural change; an inter-association series with the ISA in Term 3 that asked the traditional CAS powerhouses and under-dogs alike to measure themselves differently. Barker College’s 5-0 dominance (248 points for, 88 against) set the benchmark, and lay fertile ground to potentially chase a three peat.

Attention everyone,

We regret to inform you that St Aloysius’ College have entered serious form. Sources confirm they’re storming toward the premiership, and unless immediate countermeasures are taken, they’re going to end Barker’s three-peat dreams.

Training intensity has skyrocketed. The chants are louder. The swagger is back. Rumour has it even the canteen staff are talking tactics.

This is not a drill.
Repeat: NOT. A. DRILL.

Rival schools are advised to brace for impact, hydrate, and pray. If Barker falls, the CAS balance of power may never be the same again.

Word on the street is that St Aloysius are in “serious form.” Cute. But while everyone’s watching the flashy frontrunners, the real storm’s been brewing quietly down at Summer Hill.

Trinity Grammar — the dark horses no one’s ready for. The talent’s there, just waiting to be unleashed. The forwards have started to click, the backs are finding their rhythm, and the energy at training is different — sharper, hungrier. You can feel it.

See, while the others flex their “premiership form,” Trinity’s been building something deeper — chemistry, grit, and that underdog fire that turns good players into game-winners.

They say Aloys are peaking. That’s fine.
Trinity? We’re waking up.

When the whistle blows and the hits start flying, form won’t matter — fight will. And we’ve got plenty of that.

Dark horses don’t talk.
They strike.

To our friends down at Summer Hill — we’ve heard the whispers.
“Trinity’s the dark horse.”
“Trinity’s building something.”
That’s cute. Really. Every great story needs an underdog.

But while you’ve been “brewing quietly” in the shadows, we’ve been out here in the sunlight putting in the work, stacking wins, and setting the pace for the entire CAS.

You talk about hunger? At Aloys, hunger isn’t a slogan — it’s our way of life. It’s the early starts when the city’s still asleep. It’s the tackles that echo across College Street. It’s every sprint, every session, every drop of sweat with one goal in mind: the premiership.

You say your forwards are “clicking”? That’s great — ours are converting.
You say your backs are “finding rhythm”? Fantastic — ours have been conducting symphonies since Round One.
While others talk about potential, Aloys delivers results.

And as for “form doesn’t matter when the whistle blows”?
We agree. Because when that first whistle blows, it’s not about talk — it’s about who stands taller, hits harder, and wants it more. And Aloys? We’ve been waiting for this fight.

So go ahead, Trinity — keep calling yourselves dark horses.
Because when the light hits the field and the crowd roars, you’ll see who really runs this race.

The hill’s awake. The fire’s burning.
And make no mistake — Aloys are coming for the premiership.

With respect and rivalry,
