Unusual to announce the SJRU U16, and NSW CJRU sides without a concurrent announcement of the NSW Schools U16's although, to those trainspotters for this cohort, it will be relatively easy to name the Schools team more or less by default given who has already been named in Juniors/Country.

Basically two groups of selectors are fighting over a common pool of players with most kids eligible for two pathways (Schools and SJRU, or Schools and CJRU).

Good luck to the anxious folks and boys hanging out for a State Schools Jumper. Whatever team, Juniors, Schools or Country, it is a great honour to be selected, especially given all the horse trading, and vested interests protection that has gone on in the background since Junior State Champs and Schools U16 champs.

Does anyone have a team list for the NSW Country squad? I can't seem to see one published anywhere. There were a few boys from up the mid/far north coast and I was wondering how they went.

There was no concurrent announcement due to their being only one common player between schools and Sydney.

That was Harry Turner 7. for Sydney

other than that none of the players were selected by both

has been the NSW CCC 16's hooker for the past two schools' tournaments, so it is good to see him selected in another representative side; he is a strong player.

shouldnt the nsw schools team have been announced by now?

In a sane, methodical world it would be announced at the end of the tournament.
The whole shooting match in 16s is a bit of a joke.

I heard phone calls were made on Tuesday afternoon and allegedly the team would be in the papers on Wednesday morning.
'Twas not to be.

Hopefully today or tomorrow there may be an official announcement, especially since the SJRU U16 team has been announced.
And well done to those boys in the SJRU U16 team.

Sorry, i dont have teamlist, only that my son after speaking to him on tues night mentioned his friend who played off the bench with GPS Presdent II team, 2nd yr in NSW 16s schboys.....favouritism is alive and well!!
