Kurt Eklund may have to put his modeling career on hold for a bit:

That's what you get for tackling our Dave around the boot laces...

I shall continue sharpening my pitchfork in anticipation of the announcement that Dalton is being overlooked for the EOYT in favour of a Wellington manlet with a history of having zero impact in big games against big forwards.

EDIT: Or a Chief.

NPC SF
1. Cantabs v 4. Hawke's Bay
2. Otago v 3. Bay of Plenty

19:10 NZDT Friday 18/10 & Saturday 19/10, possibly Cantabs will get the Saturday game as they played today whereas the others all played Friday or yesterday?

Couple of tasty semi finals, I wouldn't write of any of the 4 teams. Hawkes Bay were pretty good on weekend and Canterbury may take a couple of days to get over their 100 minute game against Counties. And the Bay against Otago? Think Otago would be favourite-just.

Kickoff in the NPC Final has been brought forward to 4:05 NZDT.

Christchurch SF will be played at same time as NZ v England T20 at Hagley Oval which is reportedly close to a sell-out so will be interesting to see how many turn up at Apollo.

Whoops WOB, I thought at first this week was moved, but it's final next week is being moved forward to earlier kick off, as you said and I didn't read properly'. The provinces happy no doubt as they all know earlier kick offs work for crowds anyway.

Shit oh dear, this Otago/BOP SF is bloody good game. I need a break at halftime!
Was a cracker of a game alright. Clan have some great young talent and are and are playing some top footy. Based on that performance I’d have them as warm favourites for the final, even if they have to come up here and humble us at home for the second time this year.

By geez that Otago/Waikato game last night was another ripper. Waikato scored just on fulltime to make score 41 all, and then Otago get penalty from almost kick off and Millar sinks a 50odd metre penalty for Otago to win 44-41. Whole bloody game was a blinder , and just served to remind me why this is my favourite rugby comp!
By geez and that young Dylan Pledger at 9 for Otago? I been on this kids bandwagon for the last year or so, he has a very serious high level and a great future. The nearest I have seen to a young Aaron Smiith, lovely quick pass, and when you watch him closely it's because of his balance behind breakdown. His foot placement is great, and he can sweep up ball and release it real quick, but also swivel and change direction of attack. Can see a Roigard/Pledger 1-2 punch for ABs in a couple of years!
Agree. You never know; A bunch of injuries from the incumbents, and a succession of compelling performances from Pledger, he could make the WC squad. Definitely looks the goods.
